Don't hesitate to book this vacation because in my opinion, you will not do better on the island of Anguilla. I discovered the Grand Outlook Castle online as I was searching for just the right place to celebrate a "milestone" birthday. I knew right away that this was the place, although you never know what things will really be like when you get there, and no the photos were not accurate--- real life was so much better! 8 of us, all very close friends, walked into the house and stood agape, as we made our way out onto the stone patio overlooking Crocus Bay. The views were the best water views I had ever seen. The entire house is made of stone, and has a completely open floor plan. Every bedroom is exceptional, so it doesn't matter which one you score because they're all good. If you don't want to walk up stairs, take the right one off the living room. They all have balconies that overlook the endless sea. The infinity pool is to die for, and is about 7 feet in the middle so you feel like you're swimming on top of the world. Every day about 20 or so goats would graze across the greenery as we watched from above. Often times an egret would be near by, almost posing for the camera. It was so quiet, serene, and peaceful---we never wanted to leave. We went to all the beaches, but couldn't wait to get home by 4:30 for a long, langourous sunset, which btw are simply gorgeous. We even had some rain, but we didn't care. It is THAT BEAUTIFUL! Here's the thing. We we will be back. We talked about all the places to go in the world, and how going to the same place seems idiotic, but when we got back to the States, after half a day, we changed our minds. We've decided it IS OKAY to go back to the same place! And I would never consider going back to Anguilla and not stay at the Castle.
What can I say about Paul and Elise? They are the consumate hosts that I've never met, but every detail of our stay was or seemed to be pre-arranged. We were greeted by Eileen who has a smile bigger than the sun, who helped us find our way around, and taximan, and other folks who were eager to help us. No detail was left for the imagination, including pick up, rent a cars, where to eat, get the best sandwich, and how to stay safe and feel at home. This was absolutely the BEST BIRTHDAY of my life, and if I were you, and I wish I was right about now, I would book it! Thank you Elise and Paul for far exceeding our expectations and for a lifetime of memories. We shall meet again...

Your words and sentiments are truly what everyone involved with Grand Outlook Castle works to achieve. A unique feeling and sense of contentment that is simply a "gravity" that causes one not to want to leave. Not to leave for lunch. Not to leave for the beach. Not to leave that very last morning. Am sure you will agree, that last morning departure is hard with the pool and turquoise sea calling you out to the deck when you need to be packing.
Yet, we shall meet again and create more lifelong memories for you have done that here for us. We sincerely look forward to your return.
