Condominium - 3 Bedrooms + Convertible bed(s) - 2 Baths - (Sleeps 6-8)

Come enjoy our centrally located family condo at Northstar resort. You and the kids can walk to the pool and recreation center without crossing any streets in 10 minutes on a trail in the forest. Ski back to the condo from the slopes. Relax on two decks with open space views of aspens and pines. Come in and warm up by the fireplace.

This condo is convenient in so many ways. Drive from the San Francisco Bay Area or Sacramento. Fly in and it's only 45 minutes from Reno airport. Once you get here, you're only 15 minutes from Lake Tahoe or historic Truckee. If you can stand giving up your ski back location, it's only 30 minutes to Squaw Valley, Alpine Meadows or Diamond Peak at Incline Village.

But you probably won't want to leave. You'll be only 600 yards from the gondola, the village (including Starbucks!), or the heated outdoor pool and recreation center (access card included with your rental). You can walk or take the free shuttle bus. Soak in one of 3 spas, use the gym or one of 10 tennis courts. The kids will love the new play water features. Hike or mountain bike the local trails. A few minutes drive and you're at the equestrian center or the golf course.

After a full day of outdoors fun, you'll need some rest. The bottom floor of the condo has two bedrooms and a full bathroom. One has two twin beds; the other has a queen. The middle floor has the kitchen, dining area and living room with sleeper couch. The private top floor has the master bedroom with queen bed and it's own bathroom.

About Alex

My wife and I are veterinarians in Escondido, California near San Diego. We have two kids, one in grad school at University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign and one at UCLA. I love skiing and tennis. We have two dogs, three horses and a cat. My wife loves to ride and show Quarter horses.

Why Alex chose Northstar

I grew up in Santa Clara County in the Bay Area and learned to ski at Tahoe when I was 4 or 5 years old. I have skied there almost every year of my life since. I have a timeshare in Park City, but when it came time to go full ownership, there was no question of where to go. Tahoe is more beautiful and of course has great nostalgic value for me.

Very convenient and comfortable

This condo is very conveniently located to the Village, especially with the friendly and timely shuttle service. There are many conveniences in the kitchen such as spices and other basics, and I loved that there is a lot of living space. Would definitely stay here again!

Great Tahoe Townhouse

Perfect home to rent with children or two families. The place is split levels so you get a sense of privacy. Close to resort and all amenties are included with the rental. Can't beat that. Alex is great to work with and is prompt on getting back to you on all your questions. The description is accurate so you will probably not have any questions. I highly recommend this property.

Owner's Response: Thank you. We also like the way the condos are in staggered groups of six at most and with considerable space and trees all around. It's about as close as you get to a single home feeling in a condo. We hope you'll return some time.

very easy exchange and perfectly fine place near the village

I was looking somewhat last minute for a place for two families with children and it was very easy to settle this one. The place was reasonably priced, relatively speaking. The condo was clean and the double beds were comfortable -which is what mattered the most to us since we we skiing much of the time. We enjoyed the ease of the frequent shuttle to the village & the adventure of finding our way back from the slopes though the woods. If we were spending more time at the condo, I would have liked the linens and kitchenware to be aesthetically more updated and perky, but for the price, it was fine. The owner found our kids' backpacks in the closet and kindly contacted us before we left the slopes -which was extremely kind. I'd recommend the place and would stay there again during ski season again.

Great stay at a nice place!

This was a perfect condo for three couples. It was clean and very close to Northstar Village. We'd stay here again in a second.

Skiing back was difficult, though - there are trails that require you to take your skis off a few times. If there is fresh snow, you can probably do it before they shovel, but otherwise it requires a combo if skiing and walking across a few trails.
Owner's Response: Thanks for the feedback. Usually there is only one narrow spot on the ski back where some people remove their equipment. I usually just take careful steps in my skis. I was there only 2 weeks ago without a problem so I am looking into whether there is some work being done or it was just thin snow. Also, in case it was a navigation issue, I plan to provide guests more information on finding the path down. Thanks again.
