  • Summers are perfect with 80 degree days and 60 degree nights. Surrounded by large leafy trees and with cool mtn. breezes we rarely ever need to turn on the air conditioning. Fall colors are amazing here. Winter is temperate. Snows only enough to be picturesque. Spring is gorgeous with all the trees & flowers blooming.
  • Refundable Security/ Damage Deposit: $200 paid at time of booking.
    Check in time 4pm. Check out time 11am.
    Rates are for up to 4 people. Additional guests add $10 per person per night. Maximum of 6 people.

Wonderful quality time spent together, such an enjoyable time and a nice change from our busy, fast paced life at home. We visited the Liquidation Station & enjoyed searching for gems. We gathered pine & holly twigs to make a beautiful holiday wreath for our home. Our granddaughter enjoyed the front porch swing. We all truly enjoyed our visit at your cabin in the forest. Great Place to relax and get away

I live in Charlotte, NC and when I found out this home was 5 hours away I wasn't sure I wanted to travel that far but I did and I am glad that
I made that decision.
The trip took me into Maggie valley and all sorts of terrific scenery
along the way. When you arrive at location you travel on gravel road
which I arrived at night and was quite the adventure. I recommend you have SUV or four wheel drive but my sports car made it OK.
The owner of this place is very nice and has thought of everything.
All you need is groceries, everything else is there pots, pans,
blankets etc etc. The town of Murphy is cool and there are some
beautiful lakes close to the home. I highly recommend this place and I
felt it was an awesome deal for what you get. It great for couples and
there are rooms for kids a well. I don't usually write stuff like this but
felt that I had a very good experience and wanted to share them with
potential renter. Best of everything !

All the Comforts of Home

This was our 1st time in Murphy and we thoroughly enjoyed our time there. From the moment we walked into the cabin, it felt so warm and inviting. The decor was perfect! It is remote and atleast 30min into town, so we became creative with the time we were in the cabin. Great kitchenware and appliances for those eat-in dinners. Loved the neighbors which helped you feel less isolated. Renting a boat on the Hiawassee Lake is a must! Beautiful to swim in too!

Cozy Cabin

This cabin is very comfortable and cozy. Has everything to make it your home away from home. The owner is great and goes way beyond helpful to make your stay enjoyable. We had our 2 grandsons with us- we fished, boated, swam, ate way too much Mayfield ice cream, mini golfed and hung out at the cabin. We just plain had a great time! Oh, if your GPS tells you to go Burrell Mountain road-don't unless you want an hour drive up and down a dirt road that brings you right back to where you started :)

Just What We Needed

This vacation was just what we needed. We are from Columbia, SC and snow is not something we see often, but lucky us, it snowed on the way up the mountain. What a beautiful site! Then when we reached the cabin, so what another beautiful site. The cabin was warm and cozy and it had everything we needed. There is plenty of space for the children to play inside and outside. We enjoyed having our coffee each brisk morning with the sounds of the birds in the background. And one night we roasted marshmallows over the firepit. I don't know who enjoyed it more, the children or us adults! One day we went fishing at a near by lake. That was fun. All in all, this is a lovely place to visit and we hope to visit again.
