Wraparound deck furnished with Adirondack chairs faces Sound and Menemsha Bight. 150-yard path to private beach access with gentle waves and sandbar, perfect for tots. Steps to Dog Fish bar fishing. Two bedrooms downstairs with queen beds. Two bedrooms upstairs (one queen, two twins). Max sleep up to 9. Dishwasher, washer/dryer, high-speed wireless cable internet, iMac computer, cable TV, LCD HDTV, wood stove. Share private driveway with one family. Outdoor shower in addition to full bath. Minutes to Philbin Beach, the wavy alternative to our private beach - one of the best ocean beaches on the east coast. Famous Gay Head Cliffs are one mile up the road. Perfect for jogging and bicycling. Chilmark, with its wonderful fish markets, a restaurant, groceries, and a surprisingly well-stocked library, is minutes away by bike-ferry .

The house is about 400 yards from the Sound, with a private beach shared by only a few other families. This is a rare opportunity for those seeking the classic up-island Vineyard experience!
