Great week at the beach!

This property was very well maintained, and was actually much larger than we were expecting. We had a great time, but Im sure if you are reading this review it is because you want to know if there is a reason not to rent this property. There were only three negatives, none of which would be considered a deal-breaker. We were asked to bring our own linens, (or we could rent them, lol) which I didn't like at first. However, once we got there it was no big deal, and everyone said their bed slept great. Second, the pool security people could get a little overzealous in patroling the pool area. I know, they had to make sure kids were being kept in control, but sometimes she was just overbearing, making it almost not worth it to sit by the pool. Also, the pool was the strangest shape pool I have ever seen, but again, no big thing. The lazy river was great! Our last negative happened the last night we were there. Starting around 12:30am, the security guard started ringing our doorbell and pounding on the door. Someone apparantly was shining a laser pointer on the beach, and they were saying it came from our unit. The thing is, we were all sound asleep. He apologized and went away, but then came back THREE more times between 1am and 3am. (We stopped answering the door after the second time).
Now, with that said, the positives of this property FAR outweighted the negatives. It is within walking distance of Main Street, which has the most charming indoor/outdoor seafood grill. Also, there is a great pancake place within walking distance as well.Barefoot Landing was loads of fun. Also, a little farther is Broadway at the Beach. A longer drive, but a "must-do" for shopping, dining and fun. We went to the new Hard Rock Park, which was fun, but not really worth the $45 admission.
The workout room at the property was better than most of the same type. There were a couple of treadmills, a couple of elipticals, some stationary bikes and some weights.
Access to the beach was very easy. My husband and daughter went parasailing and actually saw a small plane crash into the ocean!! (No one was seriously hurt)
All in all, it was a great week at the beach. And, with the great washer and dryer in the unit, we came home with the laundry already done!
We would certainly rent this property again, and would recommend it to others.
