Miramar Beach House - Sand, Surf and Casual Comfort
NOTE: We do not use the availability calendar on this website. Please visit Paradise Retreats website for availability information.
Miramar Beach House dates back to the early 1900's. The house was originally a 'day shack' for sun worshiping beach goers to take refuge on hot summer days. Today it is a charming family cottage with a great oceanfront location perfect for beach-loving guests.
Entry to the house is on the upper level, where the open-beamed ceilings, skylights and generous windows all focus the eye on the spectacular view of the sand and surf at your feet. The living room furnishings are practical, comfortable and eclectic, featuring a George Smith sofa and a dining table and chairs that are vintage Knoll from the 1960's. Natural colors of driftwood and sea glass combine with authentic nautical accents to give the home a whimsical seafaring feel.
The kitchen shares the main floor living space and is well equipped with plenty of new granite counters and everything needed for great family meals. With a salon-like feel, the room is open for everyone to enjoy the wonderful views and great conversation as meal-time approaches. A glass railing on the upper deck offers unobstructed views of beach and the ever-changing surf below. The custom built table is an awesome place to perch and enjoy the views from sunrise to sunset.
The lower level rooms were designed to feel like the staterooms on a yacht. The Master Bedroom has a king-size bed with an authentic Mexican tin headboard and linens of all-natural fibers, but the obvious focal point of the room is the blue landscape you see through the French doors to the lower balcony. The music of the surf and the refreshing ocean breezes provide nature's lullaby.
In Bedroom #2, custom built-in bunk beds evoke the ambiance of the crew cabin on a sailing vessel. (twin bed on the top, a double on the bottom). Bedroom #3, with a queen size bed, has its own door to the same balcony as the Master Bedroom. This bedroom is accessed by first going through the bunk room. Shades and a sliding door add more privacy to this oceanfront room.
The three bedrooms all share a downstairs bathroom with a walk-in shower. An additional full bathroom with spa tub is upstairs adjacent to the kitchen. All beds are top of the line, hand-sewn McCrosky mattresses with high thread count luxury linens
Whether high tide or low tide, winter or summer, there will always be much to do and see on Miramar Beach. Please note that during certain seasons and weather patterns, there is not always sandy beach directly in front of the home. However, you can always take a short walk to find your sunny and sandy place to relax and kick off your shoes, or dress up and enjoy the fine dining and boutiques of Coast Village Road in Montecito. From your front row seat at Miramar Beach House you are sure to enjoy a memorable coastal vacation.
