We are just five minutes from Amherst and Hampshire Colleges, downtown
Amherst with its many international restaurants, Emily Dickinson's House, the Eric Carle Museum of Picture Book Art, Amherst College’s dinosaur museum, a dairy farm with terrific homemade ice cream, and the acclaimed Norwottuck Rail Trail, a state park with miles of wonderful biking & walking paths. We are 10-12 minutes from the University of Massachusetts and 15 - 20 minutes from Mt. Holyoke College and Smith College in Northampton with its exceptional art museum. Also in Northampton is Look Park complete with water sprinklers, bumper boats, miniature golf, a petting zoo, and a train that kids adore.

- We are a Bed and Breakfast (Birdsong Bed and Breakfast) which means we live in the bedrooms upstairs and rent out downstairs bedrooms. Common space (such as living rooms, backyard and deck) downstairs is shared. The bathroom is shared but with limited use from us since we have a bathroom upstairs. The rental could include one room or all three B&B rooms depending on availability. The weekly rate would vary depending on the number of rooms, time or year and whether the guests wish to include breakfast with their lodging. (Please note: use of the kitchen depends on what the terms of the rental would be. Please call for more details. For most short-term B&B guests, a mini-fridge and access the microwave is provided.)
