BEAUTIFUL, MODERN HOME. GREAT RATES!! DONT' WAIT!!!

We rented this house to attend a big family wedding on the island and had a great time at the house! There was plenty of room for everyone and the house is exactly as it looks in the photos. The play room was a hit with the kids and the large deck, kitchen, dining, and living room areas were a hit with the adults.

The only drawback to this house is that it is a little loud in that you can hear everything between floors so the early-to-bed folks could hear everything going on in the rest of the house even when everyone was being very quiet.

Other than that, it is large, well-appointed, extremely comfortable and a short walk to downtown Vineyard Haven. We would definitely recommend this house!

We want to give thanks for a distinctive and wonderful vacation to our host, the owners of this wonderful home. We have been renting vacation houses on the Vineyard for 10 years, but never had an experience as grand as our stay at this house.

To begin, we (2 families) never anticipated that the house would be that large. It boasted 4-5 bedrooms, but was so robust that we found ourselves wandering, wishing our CT houses had that size and spaciousness.

The interior spaces were elegant and designed to give us the adults... both creature comfort and maximum privacy. Out kids also had lots of play room.

The lot was large and wooded, allowing the kids to play freely without much supervision. The owners got us discounts on bicycles from the local vendor, as well as, a great recommendation for our clambake caterer.

Then, there was the proximity to everything necessary. The library was 2 blocks away. The grocery was 3 minutes away by car. The town was a 10 minute walk from the house. All said... we did much better here than we did in the house we rented in 2009 and 2010 out in Chilmark that was too wooded, too isolated and a 20 minute drive from grocery or restaurant options.

We will be returning and thank the owners for delivering on the promise of a good time.

We enjoyed our stay at this home and also appreciated the attention the owners gave us through their caretaker Pat.

The first hint that renting this home was going to be a great experience occurred months before we stepped foot in the house; the owners were very fair and extremely pleasant throughout the (short) lease negotiation process, and the Welcome Manual that they prepared spoke volumes about the care that they have put into maintaining their home and making guests feel right at home. We were not disappointed by any of the home's advertised amenities; the place was really perfect for our needs! The kitchen, dining room and great room, and screened in porch were perfectly sized areas for our large party. The basement was the perfect play area for my two children and their twin cousins, with the video games. And we all enjoyed the many areas to just relax and enjoy the outdoor sights (roaming wild turkeys and even the occasional deer!)--the upper terrace just off the dining room, and the deck were great for this. All of the bedrooms were perfectly sized and well-appointed. My wife and I stayed in the upstairs master bedroom, and were pleased with the spaciousness of the place, and of the en-suite master bathroom. The outdoor shower came in quite handy following our excursions to South Beach. And we loved the huge plasma tv in the great room with surround sound; an optimal place for just relaxing and hanging out. Not only was the house itself great for our needs, but we absolutely loved its proximity to so many other desirable spots: the VH ferry is @ 10 minutes away, the shops on Main Street are @ 5 minutes away, the arts and crafts day camp that my children attended was close by, and I, an avid golfer, took full advantage of the house's proximity to Mink Meadows golf course. Last but not least, the home's broadband access made it easy--for better or for worse--for me to stay connected to work when the need arose. All in all, we had a great family vacation that was due in no small part to our staying at an excellent home. We've stayed in MV for the past 9 years, and this home tops the list of places at which we've stayed by a wide margin.
