What a house!

We had an excellent vacation at this house. Having rented houses on the island for 6 years, we found this one to be fully equipped for the modern-day, extended family get-together. During our two weeks, we had two other couples join us for a week at a time. The two master bedroom suites were perfect for us parents and the smaller bedrooms accomodated our 3 children and the children of our visiting families. The kids loved the basement rec room and probably watched a little too much television there, but we (the adults) always had lots of quiet time on the main level and the ambience, walks to downtown VH, access to library, mink-meadows golf course and beach were just what we've always wanted in a Vineyard rental. We highly recommend it.

Lovely, spacious, comfortable home away from home

Our family of six, with kids ranging in age from 3 to 21, had a wonderful time vacationing in this very large, comfortable home. It is immaculate, well appointed and has living quarters suitable for everyone. There is a master suite on the ground floor and one on the second floor. There is a large "play room" on the ground level with an X-Box station and a large screen TV in the living room for those rainy or lazy days. There is plenty of room outside to lounge or play ball and a terrific kitchen with an island and large dining table to enjoy family meals, game night or entertaining friends.

The house is large enough to easily suit more than one family comfortably.
It is located in walking distance to the main shopping/dining area of Vineyard Haven, the ferry terminal and public transportation.

The homeowners were accommodating, provided excellent service (including detailed house instructions and contact info to a local property manager should the need arise). We have vacationed at Martha's Vineyard a number of times, and I would state that this house has suited us best. We would not hesitate to stay there again in the future.

great get away

My extended family and I recently spent a week in this beautiful home. Its open floor plan is great. The homes ammenities are wonderful and the seating and TV viewing area are very comfortable and accomidating for large groups. Its located in a quiet are yet minutes to everything. I would like to thank the owners for allowing us to rent their beautiful home.

Amazing vacation on the Vineyard!

We've been going to the Vineyard for many years and this home is by far the "top of the list"! We were there with 6 adults and 6 children, and never felt crowded. The home has 2 master bedroom suites that anyone would love. I particularly loved the upstairs room with the walk in shower, soaking tub and walk in closet. The downstairs room has the king size bed and it's own full bathroom. All the bedrooms are good sized with plenty of storage and room. The children especially loved the basement area with it's own TV, full bathroom and extra bed.

We especially loved the kitchen and large entertainment area. Beautifully decorated and extremely comfortable. We cooked everynight and always felt the kitchen had everything we needed. The large flat screen TV was a huge hit for the adults as well as the children.

The location was private, quiet and beautifully maintained.
The owners couldn't have been nicer or more accomodating. It was a joy to work with them. They were happy to extend their Vineyard home for us to enjoy. And we did!!!

You may never want to leave once you get there...I know we didn't!!

Great MV escape

Had a wonderful week long stay. Home is new, spacious, and well appointed. 2 Master suites. Great for family vacation or 5 couples. Sleeps 10 in very comfortable bedrooms. Futon in lower level. We had 8 adults and an infant and it worked perfectly. Pleasant 15 minute walk to downtown Vineyard Haven and beach. The home is in a quiet wooded setting but close enough to downtown. Owners were very pleasant to deal with and the property is well maintained.
Great kitchen for cooking and dining. Much space for relaxing and lower level for kids play area. Bedrooms are roomy and bathrooms are lovely. Large Plasma TV in livingroom, important that you make sure to follow the directions provided for it's use. Air-conditioning a plus.
Balcony with rockers and a nice screened porch.
We rented bikes and toured the island. Walked to Mad Martha's for homemade ice cream most evenings. Had a good meal at Zephrus. Traveled out to beautiful Menemsha by car and dined at The Bite for great fried clams. Aquinnah has some great lobster rolls by the observation area. Enjoyed some of the other small cafes on MainStreet for lunches. FYI: Vineyard Haven is a dry town but restaurants welcome you bringing your own wine.Grocery shopping can be done at the Stop & Shop near the ferry. More upscale food shopping at Cronigs. Easy 15 minute ride to MV airport.
We thoroughly enjoyed our first experience in Vineyard Haven and hope to return.
