This charming one bedroom Nantucket-style free-standing cottage condo on Colonial Acres Beach overlooks Lewis Bay, one of the warmest salt-water beaches on Cape Cod. This cottage is nearly 10 yrs. old with cathedral wood-planked ceilings, hardwood floors and tile, A/C and heat, brick cobblestone paths, and Victorian-style window boxes. It features a queen-size bed in the master, a twin sleeper sofa in the living room (linens are available on request). a nicely equipped kitchen and a beautifully appointed bathroom with over-size shower. There are two TVs with one DVD, as well as a telephone for local calls (currently disconnected until Spring 2015). Well-maintained with Cape Cod charm, this is truly a wonderful place for your seaside vacation. All amenities are close by such as golfing, boating, shopping & antiquing, a huge variety of eateries, and only 5 minutes to Hyannis to catch a ferry to Nantucket and Martha's Vineyard. . No Smoking/ No Pets.
For your enjoyment, there are gas barbecues on our new Trex common deck at the water's edge. You can watch the activity at the Hyannis Harbor, the sailboat races, and the natural habitat in the water below the deck. There is always a gentle breeze; and, once in awhile, a double rainbow will appear. It doesn't get much better than this--perfection!!!

We have stayed at this cottage two times. One time in 2013 for 2 nights and then again this year for 3 nights. It is right off the main road in West Yarmouth and has a lot of shops and places to eat around it. The cottage itself is a good size for a couple or a family with a young child. There is a fridge, kitchen, toaster, microwave, good size bathroom and area for eating and relaxing. The pictures do not do the place justice, it is very nice and feels very "beachy" and very clean. Much better than the pictures and exactly what we hoped and expected.
The owner of the cottage is really great, very nice and will call and respond to emails very fast. No issues what so ever.
I would recommend this to my friends and family if they would like to stay near the beach and near places to eat and drink.
The beach that is across the bridge is a little shelly, but there are awesome Yarmouth beaches near by. You can pay $15 for the day and go to any Yarmouth beach you want. The best one we thought was Seagull Beach, which is a quick 5 mins drive from this cottage.
I brought my boyfriend here for our anniversary. The weather was not all that great at that time of the year but staying at the cottage made the weekend worthwhile. We were far removed from our busy lives and it was a very nice getaway. Nancy and Dennis keep the place so nice and cozy and they are very nice people. It was a pleasant experience and very well suited for a couple.
My husband and I stayed four nights in this cute beach cottage which is immaculate and well stocked with all the necessities. Nancy answered my emails promptly and thoroughly as we made arrangements to rent the cottage. She dropped by shortly after we arrived to introduce herself and make sure we had everything we needed. The description of the cottage and the complex it is in is very thorough and very accurate. As described, the cottage is small but it is immaculate and makes a great base from which to visit the cape. The deck with BBQ grill and tables is a lovely place to eat dinner and watch the comings and goings to and from Hyannis Harbor. I highly recommend this cute cottage and Nancy!
I cannot say enough about this unit and the owners. Nancy and Dennis go above and beyond. Their attention to detail is incredible. It's so clean and so well decorated. You can see the pride they take in this unit. It is exactly what I think of when I think about renting on the Cape. Look above the refrigerator...they've even put together a huge binder of area restaurants. It was very handy!!
The location is terrific. The view from the common area deck is fantastic. There is a beach right there and great restaurants and shops are within a short drive.
I travel for work and as a result, I have stayed at high end hotels and experienced great customer service and care. Having stayed here, I can say that Nancy and Dennis are at the high end of customer service and care for summer rentals.
My husband and I can't wait to go back!
We were looking for a nice relaxing Labor Day getaway and that is exactly what we got with this property. This cottage is perfect for a couple. It is compact at 400 sq ft., but we found it cozy, comfortable and very well maintained.
The pictures provide a snapshot of the view you have from the common deck space. There were tables, chairs and grills available for use. It is also a very quick walk down to the beach. This was our first trip to Cape Cod and found the location to be perfect for exploration of the Cape.
This location is minutes from Hyannis where you'll find multiple options for ferries, sailing, cruises, etc as well as a variety of options for fresh seafood and other fare. It is also a nice 30 minute drive to Chatham and other small towns you can explore.
The owners' response to our inquiry was very prompt and they are extremely welcoming and hospitable. Although we didn't have enough time for cooking, we found the kitchen to be very well equipped. This cottage provided a memorable setting for our first trip to Cape Cod and we certainly hope to return.
We stayed here in early July 2010. Never spent much time in this part of the cape, mostly Truro & P-town. Yarmouth and Hyannis are pretty quaint in their small downtowns. This cottage is one of a series of medium to teeny tiny cottages all packed (tetris-like) into what looks like 1/2 acre lot overlooking Lewis Bay. Views from the windows of this unit are either fences or neighboring cottage shingled walls, all within 18-36 inches from the windows, on 3 of the 4 sides. All of the outside areas are common; a path, a small patio with 2 picnic tables and a large lower patio with two gas grills a few lounge chairs and 4 picnic tables overlooking the bay.
We stayed here with our two toddlers, who thankfully fit together on one inflatable twin mattress on the floor in the bedroom (no room for the other twin blowup anywhere). We spent 3 nights and 4 days, longer would have been difficult due to the size (400 square feet!!). But if your a couple looking for romance or a couple with a baby this would be perfect! The bedroom TV is about 17" and the living room TV is like 13". Both get the basic cable – local stations only (about 7-10), so remember to bring movies if you plan on watching TV. A big bonus was someone closeby had an open wireless broadband internet connection which enabled us to watch streaming movies online! The sofa (x-small loveseat) holds two very snuggly.
Every thing worked well for our short stay. One thing that really pleased us was the shower stall, an oversized fiberglass unit with two small seats and a hand-held shower head – this was key for washing toddlers!
The kitchen is a tiny galley to your right, immediately upon entering. The tiny stove amazingly has 4 electric burners and most every cooking utensil you may need is there (all teflon). The fridge is also not full size, but totally adequate for a week. Everything you might need is there, it's all just very compact.
Entrance to the beach is a couple lots down the street with very calm and warm water (about 85 when we were there!). Parking for the cabins is down at the corner, where you turn onto the street.
Quaint downtown Hyannis is just a couple miles down route 28 with many shops, cafes and restaurants.
The property is impeccably maintained with tasteful beach decor and the owners are very welcoming and helpful. We enjoyed our stay and would recommend this spot.
Art galleries, live theater, wonderful museums, boating of all kinds, bird watching, and a fantastic warm saltwater beach just seconds away. Enjoy excellent dining and/or entertainment for all ages. A great spot for your summer frolic away from home!!!
