Glenburnie Cottage Rental Photos and Description
3 Bedrooms, 2 Full Baths
The Cabin sits high on a corner lot with wonderful views of Lake George and surrounding mountains. Newly renovated, including the addition of a second story, while maintaining the character and charm of the historic property. Pictures hardly due the quality of the renovation justice. Enjoy sandy swimming area just a few steps away. Launch your kayak or canoe from beach access or use the Glenburnie boat launch, just a few hundred yards down the road, to launch a craft of up to 16 feet. For larger boats, you can use the launch at Gull Bay, about 10 minutes away. Ticonderoga is 10 miles north for shopping, historic attractions, and ferry to Vermont. Our cottage sleeps six adults comfortably with a full, queen, and two twin beds. Kitchen is fully equipped.
Our cottage is a place to unwind. It was originally part of the historic Glenburnie Inn, nicknamed the Honeymoon Cottage. We have maintained the character of the original property, including the original wood-burning fireplace (circa 1910), while meticulously upgrading the cabin for modern times.
The grassy beach area is flat and has a nice, shallow swim area for little ones. This end of Lake George has a shallow, sandy bottom that allows you to walk out nearly 200 yards before reaching a depth of 6 feet.
Enjoy a 45 minute hike up the road to reach the top of Anthony's Nose for spectacular views of Lake George.
