Amazing Cabin! Amazing Experience!!!

I have to start by saying how friendly and helpful Jean & Chris were with ALL of my questions and inquiries. They have a very fast response rate and answered all of my questions along the way! I would definitely recommend this rental to anyone looking for a quiet getaway in a homey community.

Besides the friendly renters, the PA Chalet was an amazing experience! I would definitely come back again and stay if I wanted a quiet weekend away from the city. The house was very clean, which was the first thing I noticed when I walked in. Aside from the cleanliness, the house was also spacious (the pictures do the place no justice) and is in a great condition. There was more than enough sleeping and hangout space for me and my guest to do everything we planned.

We did not explore the surronding community ammenities as much as I would have liked to, but there is a ton of stuff in the area to keep you entertained. We were close to going tubing but opted for a lounge weekend in doors instead. Grocery stores and shopping centers were only 20 minutes away.

The house also comes equipped with games to keep you entertained indoors! The kitchen literally has EVERYTHING you need for your stay. The griddle that comes with the house was amazing and we cooked everything on it. We also used the grill on the outside porch, which created great winter time BBQ. There is a fire pit outside which we didnt get to use with the snow, but you can make delicious indoor smores.

Oh, one tip that I wasn't aware of, but was no biggie: bring your own trashbags for the kitchen trash as the house only comes with the intial bag in the trash can.

This rental gives you more than what you pay for and is worth every penny! I hope I get the opportunity to come back when its warm outside. Enjoy the PA Chalet!!!

Overall a nice stay

Overall we had a nice stay at the PA Chalet. The chalet is a nice size - More than enough room for everyone. We stayed there with our 3 kids (aged 5, 3 & 1). The house was clean yet rustic.Fresh linens and comfy towels were provided. We loved having a campfire at night and the kids loved seeing the deer that wandered through the yard in the morning. We also enjoyed siting on the enclosed porch during some storms that rolled through. The owners were readily available by phone and email to handle any issues. Although we were dissapointed that the indoor pool was closed for repair, the outdoor pool was open one day, so the kids did get to swim. The tv had very basic channels, so bring some dvds if you or your kids like to watch tv. The owners did provide a child safety gate, but it didn't really fit the stairs to the loft securely, so we had to keep a very careful watch so as the little ones didn't get upstairs. Overall we had a good time and enjoyed our stay.

"PAWS" for a short stay!

My husband, 2 Newfoundland dogs and I stayed at this lovely chalet for 4 days while my husband was on an interview in the area. The house is very clean and has a well-equipped kitchen and gas grill on the side porch which we used every night. While my husband took the SUV to his interview, I had the opportunity to relax and walk my dogs around the lovely community. We also had deer visit in the early evenings.

We needed to have a slight problem resolved while there and the owners responded immediately. We also had to take our one Newfi to an Emergency Animal Hospital while here visiting and, found a wonderful place in Scranton who treated our Haleigh for a cervical sprain. Very frightening, but, she seems to be recuperating slowly.

While at the chalet, we took a look around at the lakes inside the community and also took a ride to Lake Wallenpaupack. What a beautiful lake!

If arriving at night, make certain that you have excellent directions for our GPS couldn't find the exact location. Thank goodness the owner was around to confirm our Mapquest directions during our uncertainty!

Slight pain - taking the garbage down to the dumpster at the community facility every day.

Again, we enjoyed our stay and would like to have the opportunity to visit again when the weather is nice. Thanks for everything.

First of all, you cannot beat the price! This palce was worth every penny and truly an economical vacation as the whole family had a great time!
The house is very comfortable, was very clean, well stocked with everything we needed for meals, and had those hidden extras like games the family could play together and lots of great wildlife just outside the windows.

The community is very well maintained with gorgeous pools, lakes and fun activities for the kids. They espceially liked the game room where you can have fun without spending money (Pool, ping pong, Xbox and air hockey are free). We went fishing in the lake, hiking on the trails in the complex and played volleyball on the sand courts available. We also used the gym, which had everything we wanted for a good workout.

Every evening we sat out on the deck or screen porch and enjoyed the fresh air and peaceful surroundings. One night we even had a camp fire and made smores.

Nearby there is a racing track for dirtbikes and sport quads, which is why we came here. It was awesome!

Everything about our stay was A+ and we WILL be back.

Wonderful Weekend Close to Home

Great vacation retreat close to home. This rental was clean, well-maintained, and easy to find. The house had all necessary amenities and the three teenagers enjoyed the lakes, swimming pools, and access to the Internet. We came to spend time together and were able to do that in the cozy atmosphere and with the game room. Even our little dog had fun looking out at the new scenery. We would stay for a longer time next year.

Recommended for: Age 55+, Pet-friendly, Girls Getaway, Families with Teenagers, Families with Young Children, Romantic Getaway
