Description of the Ticonderoga vacation chalet rental
Activities: Snowshoeing in pine forest, Cross Country Skiing at Roger's Rock State Park, Downhill Skiing at nearby Gore, Whiteface and Killington, Hiking and Mountain Biking on the numerous Eastern Adirondack trails, Ice Skating on the lake or at the Community Center, Boating paradise, explore this lovely 32 mile lake with its many islands and beautiful shoreline. Swimming from the dock 4 feet deep at the end of dock into crystal clear waters, Fishing all year from our dock. Biking around the village of Ticonderoga or Hauge, Snug Harbor Marina across the lake for boat rentals, Golfing and tennis at the historic Ticonderoga Country Club, Putting on our own Grace-Nelson Memorial green. Attractions: Fort Ticonderoga, Fort Mt. Hope, Penfield Heritage Museum and Lake Placid -home of 1980 winter Olympics

Native Americans portaging between Lake Champlain and Lake George crossed 'the place between two waters' and called it Ticonderoga. Musket carrying soldiers viewed it and proclaimed Ticonderoga 'the key to a continent.' Backpack carrying visitors see it and acclaim Ticonderoga's rich heritage and natural beauty. Ticonderoga, rich in history, abundant in natural resources, is an ideal location to develop your business. Come visit the lands that three nations fought over during the French and Indian and American Revolutionary Wars. Play golf on a battlefield. Enjoy the recreational advantages provided by the mountain ponds and streams and two great lakes: Lake Champlain and Lake George, Liberty Monument. Fort Ticonderoga, located on Lake Champlain and the mouth of the La Chute River, is open daily from early May through the end of October. The Hancock House Museum and Research Library was dedicated in 1926.
