Description of the North Egremont vacation house rental
This spectacular Church, built in 1860 was decommuted in the 1930's and then used as the North Egremont Town Hall until the 1970's when it was converted to be used as a private home. The great room is 40 x 40 with the highest peak reaching 50 feet. Upstairs, the Master Bedroom, with a king size bed, has a gorgeous painted 'fresco' on the curved wall. The lighting is warm and intimate. The Master has it's own full sized bathroom with tub/shower combo. Off the master bedroom is a delightful children's room with twin bunk beds. There is a bedroom in the other wing up the upstairs - The Choir Loft has two twin beds and it's own full bathroom. The main floor has another spacious queen bedroom. A full sized pull-out couch is in the living room, for an extra visitor. The dining room will seat 10. There is an invisible fence for dogs and a partially fenced yard for privacy. There is a fire pit with charcoal grill and outdoor seating for ten people. The yard is large and open with a zip line.

North Egremont is a small town, in the Berkshires, just east of Great Barrington. This special home is located on route 71 just a little ways North-East of the Great Barrinton air field. Its quiet... only prop planes take off and land here. Its fun to see them practicing. Egremont has lovely antique shops and excellent restaurants. There are two swimming holes nearby and a tot park with a dog run at French park - just minutes form the house. Great Barrington is host to great restaurants, shops, ski resorts, live theater and dance, art galleries, coffee shops, and museums. There are fishing streams, clean river swimming, and swim ponds close-by. There is horseback riding, summer camps, scenic roads and hiking. Of course the Berkshires are famous for Jacob's pillow Dance festival, Tanglewood, Shakespeare and Company, Berkshire Theatre Festival and other music and county fair summer festivals. Its all located within minutes. Ski Butternut is 10 minutes away and ski Catamount is only 5.
