DOWNTOWN: BUCKING MULE 500 SF. STUDIO- JAPANESE SOAKING TUB!

Durango Studio Rental Photos and Description

Studio, 1 Bedroom, 1.25 Baths, (Sleeps 2)

Bucking Mule Guest House is a clean modern 500 sf. studio located in Durango Colorado. Only six blocks from Downtown Durango, and one block from the Horse Gulch trail system, our guesthouse is in the perfect location if you like to walk or bike around town. Our guesthouse has an 800 sf. private courtyard with patio furnishings, BBQ, and beautiful outdoor eating table. Securely fenced it is ideal for pets and children. Fully landscaped and very private. There is also a locked shed for bike storage available for your use.

The guest house has a Japanese soaking tub with custom spa 'bath room'; walk-in travertine shower. In the Japanese bath tradition, the toilet room is separate from the bath room. There are bath sheets and robes provided.

Stained concrete floors have in-floor heat for cozy winter comfort . Contemporary design with a western flair, we call our decorating style zen cowboy. There is a super comfortable Tempurpedic style bed complete with Ralph Lauren linens and a down comforter. Also, in the same room, is a very comfortable queen sized leather pull out couch.

Durango Natural Foods, our local natural foods store is just across the street. Walk to breakfast at College Drive Cafe (the best breakfast in town) or Durango Joes coffee house, both located within a block of our guest house. Home Slice Pizza, Raider Ridge Cafe, CJ's Diner and 8th Ave Tavern are all within a block or two.

This is a green built studio with a Solar electric power system. Feel good about staying here and reducing your carbon footprint while relaxing.

Flat screen TV with DVD and free WiFi making it ideal for business travelers. Pets and children are welcome.

The guest house is located next to the best trail system in Durango: Horse Gulch Trails. If you hike or bike you will be in Georgia O'Keefe heaven.

Very nice

  • 4 of 5
This is a very reasonably priced comfortable studio in town. It's well appointed and although it lacks a stove/oven, the kitchen has all that you need to make it work. It's on a very busy street with traffic noise, but still feels very private. The patio area is lovely, a great place for morning coffee. I enjoyed the Japanese soaking tub and want one of my own now. Even though it is a shared rental property, I never heard the neighbors. Holly is very easy to work with and very attentive!

Darling Guesthouse!

  • 5 of 5
This charming guesthouse exceeded expectations! Clean and comfortable with everything one would require for a short stay! The location is very convenient to downtown Durango - there is a coffee shop and diner around the corner, a grocery store and liquor store within a block, and an extensive trail system for hiking or biking is a short walk. I always appreciate finding a nice spot where I can stay with my 2 dogs and the fenced-in patio and yard was a bonus! Holly was a delight to work with. Definitely a great value ... I hope to return!

Beautiful studio for a couples retreat.

  • 5 of 5
Bucking Mule is a wonderful place to stay while visiting Durango. A short walk to Main Street. Restaurants, Coffee shop, and Durango Natural Foods a block away. Parking out front at the unit. A large courtyard with BBQ. The pictures do not do justice, this place is beautiful. The owner does a great job of keeping the place clean and having the place stocked with everything people would need to live comfotably.

Super Comfy and Convenient!

  • 5 of 5
We really enjoyed our stay at Bucking Mule! My husband and I came up for a long weekend to ski at Purgatory. It was so nice to come home from a day on the slopes and relax in the Japanese soaking tub. Every night, we walked to Main Street for dinner and drinks (before and after a meal, the short stroll was quite welcome!). The guesthouse is clean and quiet, the bed is comfortable and the kitchen is well stocked. We were able to make breakfast and lunch easily, despite the lack of a stove. Our dog loved the radiant heat in the floors, and spent most of her time sprawled out on the cowhide rug. The yard provided her with plenty of room to roam. This place would be OK for more than two people, but only if you really like each other! Holly is an absolute pleasure to deal with - we'll be back for sure!

Chic and comfortable, Great Weekend Getaway!

  • 5 of 5
Wonderful location and amazing decor! Holly was always available to answer questions and give great Durango suggestions. We were able to walk to eat, walk to coffee, to hiking, to grocery shopping, sightseeing, and more! There were fresh flowers when we arrived, which really made it feel like home. We would definitely stay again!
