Hale Ohana (The House of Family and Friends) is located in the lush Koa Resort on the sunny southside of Maui. Less than 100 steps to white sandy beaches and the whole family can be boogie boarding, whale watching, sun-tanning or enjoying refreshing tropical drinks at sunset.
Hale Ohana is a quiet, private 2nd Floor unit plus loft that provides ~ 1200 sq. ft. of space and sleeps 6 adults easily. Spacious open plan living room /kitchen with center island, (range, frig, microwave, coffee maker, D/W), and double sliding doors that open onto a private lanai for dining al fresco. Main floor includes a Double twin bedroom, Queen bedroom, inside laundry and large full bath. An interior spiral staircase leads to the Master Suite loft complete with King size bed and another private full bath.
Stocked with all vacation essentials, including sports gear (tennis rackets, boogie boards, beach toys) beauty needs (hairdryers, iron/board), numerous beach towels and mats for maximum Fun in the Sun !
The Koa Resort (not a campground) is 54 units nestled in 5+ acres of tropical landscaping and features the largest condominium complex swimming pool on Maui plus hot tub and outdoor tree shower. Cabana has centrally located gas BBQ grills, restrooms, tennis & basketball courts and paperback book exchange..

I had the great pleasure of vacationing for 10 wonderful days in Maui. The large upstairs master suite and private bath are fantastic. The kitchen and living room offer a large space to fully enjoy all the comforts of home. Centrally located and across the street from the beach! A perfect choice for a family or a place to luxuriate while discovering the magic island of Maui.
The condo was very neat and clean. There was plenty of room to sleep six.
The washer/dryer in the unit was very helpful on a long vacation stay. Thanks for having supplies to do our laundry - that was very helpful.
The huge screen door off the patio allowed for the breezes outdoors to come indoors. The front door allowed for a lovely cross-breeze!
The stairs, both outside and inside the unit, would be very difficult to handle if the renter exhibited a physical impairment, which is why I did not recommend this unit for the over 55, either.
We were very pleased with this house. very clean and has everything for the beach that you would need. there were 3 couples and 2 babies and we had plenty of space. we really enjoyed the big kitchen and made smoothies everyday. the pool is right off the lanai, but you do have to drive to a good beach, but they aren't very far. for the price, you can't beat it!
Kihei is located on the sunnier south side of Maui and gets the most sunshine all year long. Moderate temperatures and cool breezes make the Kihei/Wailea resort area the perfect vacation spot.
