Come enjoy your stay in this beautiful, convenient mountain top, two bedroom home, located just off the mountain pass between Luray and New Market. Views are unlimited. Enjoy the magnificent sunsets while relaxing on the covered porch or dining by the many front windows. This newly remodeled contemporary home has lots to offer. All amenities are included for your convenience to get away for the week or a weekend. (Linens provided at no extra fee). There is a fully equipped kitchen available to make a gourmet meal or use the gas grill in any weather. All that is needed are your favorite foods. Sit back and relax and spend time in the huge family room with large screen TV, DVD with surround sound and VCR while the cozy remote controlled gas log fireplace can be controlled from the recliner or one of the couches. Stereo speakers throughout the house with controls for listening enjoyment for individual rooms.

Notes: Well behaved children and dogs are allowed. Parents need to consider safety of small children on the ceramic tiled floors. There are only 2 steps inside the house. Comfortable seating in the large living room with large screen TV. Leather couch, recliner and a second sofa bed couch. Other recliners in another sitting area within the house. Large dog bed for your dog to enjoy as well. Blender and wine glasses available.

Views or privacy: There are large windows throughout the house offering enchanting views or close them for complete privacy. The heat pump system allows the warmest climate in the winter as well as cooled air in the heat of summer. We have a key less entry door lock with a code that is changed after guests depart for safety and security. No hassle with keys.

Things to do: There are cards, games, coloring books, videos to enjoy or just relax and sit by the gas log fireplace inside. Build a fire in the outdoor chimney and roast marshmallows or hot dogs. Use the Outdoor table and padded chairs or 2 lounge chairs wherever you like. Use the gas grill to fix your dinner while sitting under the covered porch.

Wildlife: Watch for deer, bear, squirrels, birds, rabbits, or groundhogs in the back yard. Bring along your camera to catch the wildlife or a great sunset out the back door.

Spectacular Weekend Escape

We had the wonderful privilege of spending Columbus Day weekend in this exceptional vacation home. The home has absolutely everything one needs for comfort and relaxation. The stone fireplace added a warm ambience to the spacious living room. Numerous windows make the home very bright and inviting. It is truly as beautiful as it appears in the photos! It was also immaculate~ perfect for anyone with allergies. The price is very reasonable for the luxury of having your own "home away from home". (No more motels for us!)
We had a perfect escape weekend to celebrate our 26th anniversary and share in a family reunion in nearby Stanley. We certainly hope to return again to Massanutten Gap Road! {If you stay here, you must take an early morning ride to Stanley. The sunrise views along the river with the mountains as a backdrop were inspiring!

A great place to stay to get away from the suburbs

My husband, myself, and our Beagle came to the house for our anniversary and 'Baby Moon.' We spent three wonderful nights and four days at the house and neighboring towns.

The house is very well kept with great up-to-date amenities. The rooms are spacious and very clean. We really enjoyed sitting in the rockers while watching the traffic and also the big screen tv.

The nearby towns are very quaint and we found our way around very easily. We enjoyed daily drives to the VMI museum, corn maze, covered bridge, local town fairs, and hiking trails.

We didn't eat at any of the restaurants b/c we went to the local grocery store and cooked meals at the house. Everything you could possibly need is right in the kitchen for you to use.

The pictures really do not give the property it's due justice. The rooms are very well decorated with modern amenities. There are tv's everywhere and a great stereo system. My hubby loved the tv and dvd player after our long days.

Nice getaway place near Shenandoah Park

This place makes for a very nice weekend getaway close to Shenandoah National Park. It was very well maintained and immaculate. Large floor-to-ceiling windows on one side of the house. The single-floor layout was good for our 11-month old (no staircases to worry about). Well-supplied kitchen. Didn't have time to try the small outdoor hot tub, but we did use the outdoor gas grill for steak dinner on the patio. Nice wide-screen tv for watching movies. Stereo is hooked up to speaker system in several rooms. Only downside was its proximity to a main road with truck traffic, but that didn't spoil our weekend.
