Nature Abounds!:
If you are interested in nature, the property has much to offer. Several acres of beautiful woods provide a home for red fox, hare, red squirrel, pine martin, and deer, who all come to visit. Bald eagles soar over Frenchman Bay, and rocks exposed at low tide are frequented by harbor seals. Other visitors have included peregrine falcon, osprey, loon, eider, nuthatch, chickadee, pileated, and other woodpeckers. And in the spring and fall, flocks of migrating warblers may drop in. Nesting birds include blue-headed vireo; black-throated green, Nashville, magnolia and blackburnian warblers as well as woodpeckers and other species. Those taking the time to occasionally look out over Frenchman Bay may be treated to a remarkable sight. While infrequent in the western portion of the bay, harbor porpoise do make an occasional appearance.
Value!:
We believe that we are offering the best combination of location, amenities, and price. This can be attested to by the fact that for some years, 80% of our guests have been returning couples. Honeymooners return for their anniversary, and anniversary couples have returned for yet another anniversary.
The reason that our pricing compares so favorably is that we choose to only rent to couples. The second floor bed and bath are generally not available to guests. With prior approval, an additional guest may be accommodated.
Reservations!:
If you wish to make a reservation, the rental fee must be paid in full and a signed Weekly Lodging Agreement must be submitted at the same time. In addition, a security deposit of $250.00 must be received no later than 30 days prior to occupancy. It will be returned by regular mail within one week after satisfactory inspection of the properly. Should you change your plans, we provide a a total refund minus a $10.00 handling fee if we can find someone to take your place.
