A suburb house in a wonderful setting!

Our stay in Bethany Beach was one of the best family holidays we've had. Much of the credit for this special vacation has to go to this terrific house.

The floor plan provided privacy and space -- even with 10 people staying under one roof! The grandkids, two eleven year olds and an eight year old, were content with riding their bikes around the safe neighborhood, playing games in the evening on the wonderful decks, hopping the trolley to the beach, and exploring the area with us in the canoe. The home is also great for great-grandparents, too! My 82 year old mom was very comfortable in the downstairs bedroom with full bath.

One could not ask for nicer owners -- very accessible for questions, etc. We would highly recommend this home for making wonderful family memories! This place truly has something for everyone!
Recommended for:  Age 55+, Families with Teenagers, Families with Young Children

Spacious and Accommodating

We had a great week in Bethany and the house was no small part of the experience. We had three families and 5 kids under 4 years old in the house. Even with all that madness, it was more than enough house. Nice living area to relax and watch TV, trolley to take you to the beach and a nice added perk of a canoe to take out in the canal. Would definitely stay again.
Recommended for:  Girls Getaway, Tourists without a Car, Families with Teenagers, Families with Young Children

Great for families!

We had a great time at the Lake Bethany House. I think I even prefer Bethany Beach to Rehoboth now! The house was great and the owner was very helpful. I like the layout of the house - the bedrooms are quite separate from each other so it was easy to have people going to bed at different times. The outdoor shower is great - nice enough to actually shower in rather than just rinse off. Two things I'd change: make the bunkbeds less wobbly/squeaky, and I would prefer to have linens provided.

We agree that the layout provides areas for privacy but yet the gathering area with the large flat screen TV, and the screened in porch, encourage family time as well. The outdoor shower is a big hit with many of our guests. In fact, my husband takes his shower there every time that we are there and still enjoys it enough to comment on how great it feels to shower outside! I guess it must be one of life's simple pleasures... We will look into a way that we could provide linens for guests such as yourself who are arriving to Bethany via an airplane.

This rental is picture perfect. Anyone that stays here is a lucky person.It has everything you need plus some !!!

In fact, we added high speed internet and a 42 inch flatscreen TV as upgrades for 2009. We want our guests to be totally comfortable whether they are enjoying Bethany for a week or for a weekend. Our stay was perfect. The house is located in a quiet neighborhood, but accessible easily to the beach, shops, restaurants/bars. The house was very well-kept, which was helpful in feeling like being at your "home away from home". I would 100% stay here again.
