One Block from Central Park West - Located between Columus Avenue and Amsterdam Avenue on West 80th Street. This quiet, clean, safe, Brownstone Apartment, 1 floor walk-up is near everything. Zabars, Gourmet grocery, casual and fine dining, the Museum of Natural History of course. Ideal for couple or Professional on short-term stay. Sorry no pets. Great transportation access to all of Manhattan - Subway B and C on Central Park West B at 81st and 1 and 2 subways on Broadway at 79th Street and cross town bus to upper east side of Manhattan (5 minute ride).

Great location, just as described

We had an excellent stay. The apartment is very comfortable, clean and ideally located. We had lovely weather, so being on the edge of central park was a great advantage.In addition to the local attractions mentioned in the add, there is a really good flea market on West 77th Street on Sunday mornings.
The facilities, restaurants/shops etc, in the area are very good and we felt safe and very much at home straight away. Having two subway stations close at hand meant it was very easy to get around. The 27 dollar weekly ticket was a bargain.
Chris left contact numbers in the event of problems, but we had none. The only thing we would have liked was a kettle, but thay was easily overcome.
We would certainly recommend the apartment to friends and will return ourselves, hopefully, in the not too distant future.
PS for football fans. We even managed to watch the premiership highlights on cable!

great location, amazing space

This completely lived up to its description - inside and out. It's clean and cosy but not at all cramped, with good storage in the bedroom and a large living room to relax in at the end of a hard day's sightseeing. It's surrounded by restaurants (the owner recommended some very good ones, to which we'd add Frida's for great Mexican food), close to the subway and the park and is just a short cross-town bus ride from Museum Mile (Guggenheim, Met etc). We didn't need to contact the owner while we were there, but were left emergency numbers etc. so were not concerned about there not being a concierge. Would definitely recommend it.

We very much enjoyed our stay in this apartment. We have stayed in other apartments in Manhattan, and this is easily the best deal we have encountered. The apartment is nice, clean, and quiet. We will likely stay there again: it is close to bus and train, the park, and in a great neighborhood. The owner was very accommodating and easy to do business with. Highly recommended.

Great Apartment, Great Location !

My son (18) and I stayed in the apartment for five nights in October 2008. The apartment is clean, tidy, comfortable, and well furnished, with good facilities. Only drawback for us was that it has one double bed only, but in reality, that wasn't a problem for us. It is in a quiet, safe neighbourhood, but close enough to the centre of Manhattan to not feel "out of the way". The owner of the property was great to deal with, and very helpful to us, even though we never met him ! (Thanks again Chris !)

Location-wise, it was fantastic. Central Park one block away, with the Natural History Museum between the apartment and Central Park. About half an hours walk from Times Square (even more pleasant walking through Central Park to get there !) and close to banks, shops, restaurants and subway.

I would have no hesitation in recommending it to a friend, and would certainly try to rent the apartment again if (sorry, when !) we visit New York in the future !

As for activities and attractions, just visit the City for yourself, you will not be disappointed !!!

Great Location Apartment

This apartment is located in a very convenient location near Central Park and the Natural History Museum on the Upper West Side. It's handy for 2 Subway stations and is close to some great food shops, as well as restaurants. It's well furnished, yet compact (as you'd expect for NYC). We had a great time staying here - much better than a hotel!
