This Classic Cape has views of the Cape Cod Canal and a peek of Buzzards Bay. Not that you will want to go anywhere with an in-ground pool, outdoor living room in pool house, paved decking, and a cozy cape house with 3/4 basement.

Attractions: Aptucxet Trading Post, Tue-Sat 10am-4pm and Sun 2pm-5pm. First known commercial enterprise in English speaking N. America. Adults: $4, $3.50 seniors, children $2.50, family $10. Aptucxet Rd., Bourne.

National Marine Life Center, Mon-Sat 10am-5pm and Sun 12pm-5pm. Whale exhibits and artifacts. Multi-media exhibits about marine animal stranding & rescue. Free admission.

Woods Hole Aquarium, 11am-4pm, Monday-Friday. Started in 1885, small, public aquarium showing approximately 140 species of marine animals found in Atlantic waters.

Cape Cod Canal Visitor Center, Thurs-Sun 10am-5pm through 6/23; 6/23 on open daily. Guided walks, bike hikes and programs. Exhibits, real time radar, a retired 41’ US Army Corps of Engineers’ patrol boat. Free to the public. Call for daily program info.

More Attractions: Thornton W. Burgess Museum, Mon-Sat 10am-4pm, Sun 1pm-4pm. Memorabilia & exhibits spotlighting the naturalist & creator of Peter Cottontail. Admission by donation.

Mashnee Island sits on the end of Buzzards Bay on the Cape Cod side. The island is connected by land with a Dike built by the Army Corp of Engineers around the turn of the century. The Island has approximately ninety homes of which one- third are year- round and the remainder seasonal. The Island provides swimming on the Phinneys Cove side, along the dike, Sea clamming, kayaking, tubing and windsurfing are just a few of the activities you will see during the course of your stay. Walking the island and the dike are favorite pastimes of visitors and residents. Bring your bike to ride the canal or take a trip to the market.

NON REFUNDABLE charge of $150.00 will be assessed for cleaning.Security deposit is $300.00 You will have 4 man-hours to bring house back to state where you rented it, $85.00/ man-hour after the 4 man hours will be assessed if needed.

This rental is a spacious home for multiple families. We loved the outdoor shower, pool and poolhouse. We had a very hot vacation week and everyone enjoyed the pool (only a few houses on the island had a pool). The short walk to beaches was great and they were never crowded. Overall this was great for our kids as they were able to bike around the neighborhood (low & slow traffic), go fishing, swimming, even have a wiffle ball game in the back yard.

The lobster trap down the road had good food for eat-in or take-out. A smaller market is down the street and there is a Market Basket (newly opened grocery store) just 10 minutes away.

We would recommend this rental property to friends or relatives.

This was my best vacation I have had in over 8 years. I loved the house, pool, and location. I was so relaxed it was so hard to leave. I am looking forward for next year. The pool makes you feel like your in a resort.

I would recommend this rental to anyone.
Recommended for:  Girls Getaway, Sightseeing, Families with Teenagers, Families with Young Children, Romantic Getaway
