The best duplex condo in town with a view at the Harbor Condominiums at Lake Placid Marina on Lake Placid Lake with balcony, cathedral ceiling, stone fireplace, rustic detail. Three bedrooms each with private full bathroom plus additional 2-person Jacuzzi. Full kitchen and dining room. Ceiling fans in all bedrooms. Easy walk to town, ski area shuttle buses and shops. Fireplace with seasonal firewood. Washer and dryer in condo, plus barbecue downstairs. Large balcony overlooking lake with killer views to Whiteface Mountain and High Peaks. Digital Cable TV (Fox Soccer Ch.), high-speed Internet. The condo is a virtual tour of Winter Olympics past with vintage posters and Olympic memorabilia tastefully blended into the rustic decor.

Summer and winter recreational activities, venues, events, etc., including golf , tennis, swimming and boating, hiking, downhill and cross country skiing, snowboarding ice skating, hockey, ski jumping, bobsled and luge.

We have been renting our lakefront condo for more than 15 years and have had many return visitors to our spacious (2,200 square feet) condo. We encourage our renters to sign our guest book and below are some of their comments :

Lake Placid, the site of the 1932 and 1980 Winter Olympic Games, is unique in what it offers the year-round tourist--from winter sports like speed skating, downhill skiing on the steepest mountain in the northeast, X-C skiing on Olympic trails to daredevil activities such as a ride on a bobsled. In the summer, you have easy access to two lakes--Placid and Mirror--for boating, swimming, kayaking--and an endless supply of mountains for hiking. The Village of Lake Placid offers great shopping, restaurants and views of the surrounding High Peaks.

Golfing weekend

Dear Diane,
I have been nominated by our group to tell you that your place was magnificent and we all enjoyed our stay. The view of Lake Placid was great. Your unit was very clean (kudos to the people who clean it). In the past, some of the places we stayed were not anywhere as clean as your place. As advertised, your unit is very close to the village and, in fact, most of the times we always walked to the shops and restaurants in the Village itself. I trust your cleaning people will find that we left the unit pretty much the way we found it--clean and immaculate. With your blessing and OK, our group would love to book a similar 3-day weekend next July. Once again, we loved your unit and our stay. Of all the individually owned units we have stayed at over the many years we have been coming up, yours by far was the best.
