OCEAN VIEW 19 FLOOR LUXURY APT IN CONDADO IN THE HEART OF CONDADO

This unit is just as presented: A glorious view from the balcony, a nice compact kitchen, a clean neat bath, a comfortable bed and small living-room area with comfortable seating. The building has full-time security, though the Condado neighborhood, right on Ave. Ashford never seems nervous.
The building has a comfortable and large enough swimming-pool. The friendly people we met seemed to be either unit owners or regular renters.

The neighborhood is conveniently located with a Walgreens, many resturants and close (walking distance) to a Supermac, supermercado.

The guagua (city bus) is just down the street. A $.75 cent ride into Old San Juan.

This condo was perfect for our trip to Puerto Rico. It is small, but just right for the two of us. It is right on the main strip in Condado, and surrounded by restaurants, bars, cafes, shops, etc. There is a Starbucks right next door and a Walgreens next to that. Ali Baba's Turkish Restaurant has amazing, authentic mediterranean food, and is just a block away (follow the sign as it sits just back from the street in a courtyard.)

The beach is directly across the street, with only a short walk to the beach access. The bus stop is also only a short walk, and cabs are more than plentiful on the strip and in front of all the hotels. There are several car rental agencies within easy walking distance. We weren't all that interested in the resorts and casinos in Condado, but used this as our home base while exploring the country: Old San Juan, Ponce, Guanica, El Yunque Rainforest, Luquillo Beach, etc. The country is small enough for day trips, and it was great to have the condo and restaurants of Condado to come back to at night. We were able to park our rental car on the street Sunday and Monday night (with no meter to pay on Sunday), although if you have a car on a Friday or Saturday night it may be hard to find a spot, but there are parking lots where you can pay to park.

The condo was clean and well-maintained. The guards at the front desk were all very helpful and nice, even helping us find parking. However, the building has many permanent residents, so do not expect the front lobby staff to be like what you'd find in a hotel- they are not really there to be tour guides or incredibly friendly. There is a laundry area on the second floor which was very convenient. The pool area is nice and well kept as well.

David was great to work with, and brought us a second set of keys when we locked ourselves out of the condo one night. We received our security deposit back the day after we got home. We would definitely recommend this lodging and stay here again in the future.

After agonizing over where to stay, my husband and I decided on David's condo and boy was it the right choice. The initial contact, the transaction and the return of my deposit went very smoothly. The condo is exactly as it is described, we could not get enough of the beautiful view. David is very nice, responds quickly to e-mails and phone calls and was very patient with all my questions and concerns. There is no parking in the building, but we were able to find parking on the street. It was a great experience and we would definitely stay there again.
