Perfect blend of seclusion & close to everything

This vacation experience was amazing. The house is far more beautiful in person than the pictures. You have to see it for yourself. Nestled in the treetops this house feels like you are far away from it all but in reality you can walk to anywhere in Tahoe City in just a few minutes. We did the Tahoe City Pub Crawl for my birthday (an unofficial event) - walked from the house to six pubs and back again. Make sure to visit the Bridgetender & the Tahoe City olf Course (Country Club). The price seemed high at first but I shopped around and this house is an amazing value. We slept 9 people, had plenty of space, and it was luxurious. A game room, two huge living areas, it was easy to be together or have alone time from my friends. We had the perfect balance of cooking at home in the amazing kitchen and eating out in Tahoe City's amazing restaurants. Make sure you eat at bridgetender & jakes on the lake. Sunnyside was great food but a little too noisy. You could walk to a different restaurant every meal for a week and not go to the same place twice. The huge back deck is so private you can skinny dip in the hot tub and no one will know (I recommend trying it). Don't miss the Tahoe Commons beach in the summertime - swimming & beach fun in the day and movies/concerts/events at night. We also went tubing down the truckee river. Walk 1 mile from the house to the Truckee River, float down river for 3 hours and then call for a ride home at the end of the trip. Just remember to take shoes with you. Tahoe City is my favorite place to visit and this home has it all. Amenities, beautiful nature setting and location, location, location. I can't wait to go back. The property was very clean, the manager was incredibly accomodating, and the property was almost new. I worked while on vacation and the wifi internet was unexpectedly fast & convenient. I would give this place my highest recommendation. We had an older couple in our party and they did great getting around with very few stairs. -david
