Swimming and Snorkeling:
The beach at the Kiahuna is one of the best on Kauai. You can snorkel to view beautiful tropical fishes in the ocean at the Kiahuna beach. The beach is a short walk over beautifully landscaped lawns. You will find toys, snorkels, reef shoes, and other items for your use in the hall closet.
Golf and Tennis:
Free tennis is provided at the Kiahuna Courts. The excellent staff will gladly arrange matches for you. The Poipu Bay golf course (2 miles east) and Puakea (in Lihue) are beautiful and outstanding. The Kiahuna golf course is decent and improving. The Kukuiolono Course (6 miles west) is funky and very inexpensive. The Wailua course is inexpensive, crowded, and good. The Princeville and Kauai Lagoons courses are outstanding but not always well maintained. After 4pm at Poipu Bay, you can play for $10 with a child (age 6 to 17) who plays free. You each must have your own clubs and walk. (Amazing deal since green fees are $185 to $120.)
Activities, Dining, Etc.:
