The apartment is situated within the popular urbanisation El Faro, and takes its name from the port lighthouse close by. The exterior of the urbanisation has recently been completely repainted (finished May 2013), making it one of the most attractive urbanisations in the Marina itself. There is direct access from the pool area to the newly paved walkway around the lighthouse, with seating, pagodas and fantastic views over the marina, The apartment has a balcony directly overlooking the pool area, ligthhouse and has great sea views. Both bedrooms and lounge areas benefit from air conditioning (summer/winter). There is a bright lounge/dining area with sofas and dining table for 6 and satellite TV / DVD. The kitchen is comprehensively fitted with washing machine, dishwasher, microwave, ceramic hob, full oven and grill. Beneath the apartment complex is secure parking with a reserved parking space.

The apartment is a two minue walk from the lovely port of Estepona where a wealth of bars and restaurants can be found. There is a new heladería (icecream parlour) close to the pool exit where you can also enjoy coffee and crepes, whilst taking in the views. Also 200 metres away is the beautiful main beach, La Rada Beach, with Blue Flag status. Within 5 minutes walk are 2 supermarkets, OpenCor and Supersol.

Places to go : Golf - The apartment is an ideal location for playing golf with the following courses in the vicinity - Estepona, Valderrama, La Duquesa, Satogrande.

The Selwo Adventure Park is a great family day out and only a 10 minute drive away,with Selwo Marina 50 minutes away at Benalmadena. Gibraltar is 30 minutes drive away, where you can go on a tour of the rock and see the famous apes - or enjoy the tax free shopping!!! The sophisticated resorts of Puerto Banus & Marbella are only a 15 minute drive away, with beautiful harbour, great shops and ideal for people watching! Ronda is an hours drive away, with an abundance of history and spectacular views - well worth a visit.

Casares is a picture postcard village which is well worth a visit. It takes approximately 30 minutes to drive there along a mountain road. As you turn a bend you have a spectacular view to your left of the village. There is a restaurant here, La Terraza where you can park your car and take one of the footpaths down.

Places to go: Istán is approximately 45 minutes away. The village is beneath the Sierra Blanca at the head of the valley of the rio Verde. Istán's streets are extremely narrow. The only sensible way to experience it is on foot. There is a free public car park as you enter into Istán. As you walk through the village you constantly hear the sound of water running from its drinking fountains. Istán stands close to the huge reservoir created by the Presa de la Concepción dam, which was built in 1972. The water feeding Istán's fountains, however, is pure, and of the unprocessed mountain variety which was much prized long before the coming of the dam. There is a small hilly rise to the west of the village set in a park where you have good views of the village and spectacular views of the Sierra Blanca and lake.

Further afield: Alhambra in Granada, is definitely worth a visit, if you have the time. It will take you a little over 2 hours to get there by car. It can be done in a day, however I would recommend you leave Estepona early morning. You need to leave yourselves at least 3 hours to walk around Alhambra. Please note you have to purchase tickets to enter, prior to going (via the internet) do not just turn up on the day. When we went we arranged to stay overnight in a hotel close to Alhambra and went into Alhambra early the following day.

Beautiful apartment and location

Thank you for a great holiday. The apartment was fantastic, spotlessly clean and had everything you could possibly need. The restaurants and bars are all within a close walking distance to the apartment and with plenty of variety to choose from all of a high standard. The beaches at Estepona are emaculate and were cleaned every day. I would recommend this apartment to anyone as can't fault it and will definately be coming back. Thank you, The Barnes family

Perfect Holiday in beautiful apartment

We had perfect holidays in this beautifull, clean and full equipped apartment. The sea view from the balcony is better as shown in the pictures. This apartment is located near all important locations of Estepona. There is also a little cafe and bakery in the same house with fine croissants and an excellent cafe ;-)
Really nothing is missing in this apartment, we are sure we will come again.
Thanks to Carl and also many thanks to Sue which welcomed us.
We like this loveley town with many spanish restaurants and very good tapas bars in the old town. There are many shops in calle teraza and calle real.
There are to beaches in Estepona, and if there is many wind it is better to go to El Christo beach instead of Rada beach. Both beaches are about 5 to 10 minutes away.

Fantastic Apartment

We found this to be a spacious and well equipped apartment close to the beach, marina and restaurants.
The layout of the apartment aloows a little extra privacy to those in the main en-suite bedroom as there is a further door which seperates you from the rest of the apartment.
The apartment was spotless on arrival and tastefully decorated with ample seating on the terrace.

This is our second visit to this fabulous apartment in 2 years. The apartment is immaculate and kitted out with everything you need. Over the years we have stayed in and around the Estepona area, however this apartment far outweighs others we have stayed in. In addition to the apartment being spotless and having everything, the owner (Carl) has in place good quality linen and towels which is something rarely found when you rent somewhere, plus a welcome pack for you. The location is superb and central to everywhere.

Another guest commented below, and it was the same with ourselves, in that the owner called us a couple of days before we left, to say "have a great holiday". Little touches like the ones mentioned make all the difference.

We love the area and will be going back to Carls apartment next year, plus we will be recommending it to our friends and family (providing they don't book the 2 weeks we want)!!!!

Fantastic 2 weeks, already booked to return next year. The apartment has everything you need and more. Kids (15 and 12) used the pool each morning and it was great to be able to keep an eye on them from the balcony. Set in a superb location with beaches, restaurants, bars and shops all within 5 minutes walk, or a longer evening stroll can be taken, (15 minutes), along the sea front to the old town. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend this to anyone.

The port of Estepona is one of the most sought after locations for holidaymakers when visiting Estepona, with an abundance of restaurants and bars. The town centre is a 10 minute stroll away from the apartment and is still unique in retaining its Spanish heritage with pretty plazas. In addition to this, Estepona has 2 main beaches, both with Blue Flag status. La Rada Beach is only 200metres from the apartment and is more than 1 km long. El Cristo Beach is a small bay approximately 10 minutes walk from the apartment. Both beaches have Chiringuitos (beach bars and restaurants) and lifeguards in season.

Notes The apartment will be available from 15:00 - 22:00 on the day of arrival. On your day of departure we would require you to vacate the apartment by 10:00. Where possible we will try and accomodate earlier or later times however these must be agreed prior to booking.

A mid rental clean can be arranged and this is payable locally at 12 euros per hour.

Generous discounts for long term bookings.
A 100GBP deposit per week is required to secure a booking which is non refundable and the balance is payable 8 weeks prior to arrival.

A security/key deposit of 200 euro or 140GBP is payable upon arrival, and will be returned at the end of the letting period providing no material damage has been made to the apartment or fittings.

The apartment is tastefully decorated and has marble floors throughout. The master bedroom is ensuite and within the beautifully fitted bathroom is a hand wash basin, bidet, toilet and bath with overhead shower. The second bathroom is also finished to a high standard with a hand wash basin, toilet and shower cubicle. All linen and towels are included (except beach towels). A travel cot is available upon request at no extra charge (no linen provided for the travel cot). Electricity is included within the price quoted. The apartment has its own underground secure reserved parking space with lift access and stairs. A welcome pack is provided making the start of your holiday a little bit easier, including bottled water, milk, tea, coffee, bread and wine.
