Unwind and enjoy the wonderful views while rocking on the covered wrap around deck. You can also take in the views while relaxing in the hot tub, then warm up in front front of the cozy wood-burning fireplace in the family room. The kitchen has been stocked with everything you need, whether you're preparing a large group meal or a romantic dinner for two. Take in those great views from the dining table while you eat!

The cabin features TVs in each bedroom and family room all with built in DVD/VCRs. Big kids and small love the X-BOX. Cheer for your favorite team on the 60' Plasma big screen TV with Blue Ray/DVD player and surround sound while playing pool. High speed Internet access is available for your laptops.

Snuggle up with your favorite book on the upper level loft (and maybe catch a nap) in a cozy overstuffed chair or just sit back, relax and enjoy the peace and quiet of the Blue Ridge Mountains in this tastefully decorated Log Cabin.

The area offers ample opportunities for enjoying the outdoors by hiking, zipline, canoeing, whitewater rafting, skiing, and even picnicking! The community is well hidden but easy to get to yet it's conveniently located 6-7 miles from Blowing Rock, Boone, Valle Crucis (home of the Original Mast General Store) and many other nearby amenities including Boone Golf Course, which is open to the public, numerous great places to hike, Grandfather Mountain, Tweetsie Railroad, and Banner Elk.

Crystal Mountain, is a quiet gated community hidden off of Shulls Mill Rd which runs between HWY 105 and HWY 221. Conveniently located between Boone, Blowing Rock, Valle Crucis and Banner Elk and is centrally located to all of the High Country attractions including Grandfather Mountain, Tweetsie Railroad (Theme Park great for small children), Linville Waterfalls & Caverns, Price, Trout, & Bass lakes (fishing, boating and walking trails)

Skiing/Snowboarding - Appalachian Ski Mountain, Hawkesnest, Sugar Mountain & Ski Beech all within 20-40 minutes away. Boone is 7 miles away and is the largest area town and home of Appalachian State University.

Blowing Rock is 6 miles away and offers a quaint town feel with many shop the boutiques. Valle Crucis is 7 miles away (Home of the Original Mast General Store and Candy Annex). Banner Elk is 14 miles away offers a quaint town feel with many shop the boutiques similiar to Blowing Rock. Entrance to Blue Ridge Parkway is 5 miles away

    * Add $75 for processing fee (which includes departure cleaning fee)
    * Additional fees include 12.75% for NC sales and lodging tax
    * Add extra $25 per night for holiday weekend rentals
    * $250 refundable Security Deposit is required. It’s usually returned in 7-14 days after checkout. Once my housekeeper verifies the cabin was left in the condition it was found (besides normal cleaning).
    * A Rental deposit $250 is required to make a reservation along with signed paperwork. This $250 rolls into your refundable security deposit once full payment has been received.
    * The total rental balance is due 30 days prior to arrival date or immediately if booked within 30 days of your visit.
    * Forms of acceptable payment are: Personal Check, Cashier's Check, Money Order and Credit Card (Add 3% for credit card Service Fee)
  • * Absolutely NO PETS ALLOWED - Owner is highly allergic to cats and dogs. Please don’t even ask.
    * Check in is after 3:30 pm and Check out is before 10 am

Crystal Mountain is Quiet Gated Community with picnic tables and pavilion. Our Lower Level Entertainment includes 60 inch Plasma big screen TV in rec area with Blue Ray/DVD player and Cable TV with over 100 channels to choose from. Shoot a game of pool while you watch your favorite team. A Mini-Size Refrigerator to keep your beverage cold. Main level Family Room has a 25 inch TV -VCR - DVD and a wood burning fireplace. I provided firewood. We have a wide selection of VCR and DVD movies, X-Box Video Console & Games to choose from. Adult and Children reading books. Kitchen - is fully stocked with everything you need including a coffee maker & coffee grinder, blender, toaster - 4 slice, pots, pans, cooking utensils and a Dining Rom Table with seating for 10. A 6-8 person Hot tub. We provided sheets 10 wash clothes & 10 bath towels are provided. ***This is not a Big Party Cabin!*** 4 Wheel Drive is recommended during the winter months Mid December - Mid March.

We enjoyed every minute of our get away. The Cabin was beautiful, equipped with everything you would ever need, so peaceful, enjoyed the Deer in the morning hours. This was our first trip to Boone and we fell in love with the little town.
Ken provided perfect service to anything we needed to know and was always willing to answer your emails timely, a wonderful person to work with and so kind.
We love our trip so much that we have already booked another trip to his beautiful home.

Amazing Stay

From the moment we arrived, we were breathless. This cabin was amazing and the entire family loved it. The views were great and the local wildlife were always around to watch. Ken did a great job with this cabin and made sure our stay was easy and relaxing. thanks Ken, we will be sure to make this a yearly stay for us now.

Tranquil mountain getaway

My family decided to come down from NY and retreat to the mountains with us. We had 3 kids (ages 5, 9, 10), 4 adults between 33-41 and one adult 58. We had a fabulous time. We all fought over the loft where there was a chaise for reading. It was so cozy. The views were beautiful. We had all the necessities needed for preparing meals. There were so many nice little touches throughout. The air chairs were fabulous.
The owner, Ken, even includes a list of local restaraunts and attractions for you which is helpful since we didn't know the area. Will definitely visit again, maybe in the middle of the hot summer or when it snows. Thanks again for sharing your home with us! My mom's chiropractor in NY even asked us for the link to your site.

Beautiful cabin to enjoy a peaceful retreat. Conveniently located near Boone and Blue Ridge Parkway. The cabin was appointed as advertised with all the comforts of home. Oh my goodness!  Your place is awesome, Ken!  It is absolutely beautiful, and it had everything we needed to be completely comfortable. The view is gorgeous even in the winter.
