Guestbook comments from the owner
Dear Claudia,

We finally arrived home late last Wednesday evening (actually at 2:00 am Thursday morning Canadian time) following a long day of travel. Our day was even longer when we discovered at Florence airport that we were one hour ahead since, we had no idea that the daylight saving time change had already occurred in Italy on Sunday! Consequently we were one hour ahead of the rest of Florence for our last three days! Daylight savings did not come into effect in Canada until this past weekend.

Once again we want to thank you for all of your help in making our Italian vacation most memorable. Your apartment was very comfortable and so well equipped it almost felt like home! We thoroughly enjoyed meeting you, Arnaldo and your son Marco and also your American friends. Thank you also for the olive oil and the wine. We enjoyed the wine in Florence and will put the olive oil to good use here in Canada.

Take care,

Robert and Sandra

PERFECT LOCATION AND APARTMENT IN FLORENCE

  • 5 of 5
My husband, daughter and I have just arrived home from an AMAZING adventure in Italy. We traveled for just under 3 weeks, with 5 nights in Florence. After spending endless amounts of time looking for the perfect VRBO apartment for Florence, we came across this listing and emailed Claudia, the owner. From our first contact with Claudia, I knew we had found our perfect home away from home. Cluadia could not have been any nicer, caring, or informative about her home and her beloved city of Florence. She was very up front about payment, deposit, cleaning fee, etc., and that made for very easy transactions. The apartment itself is an absolute dream. Every little detail has been thought of, and it is as though you are at home (but maybe much nicer.) The building dates back 1400 years, although from inside the apartment one would never know. The walls, floors, moldings, are all meticulously painted, with a pleasing and tasteful pallet of white walls and turquoise/green doors and trim. Gorgeous wooden floors are interesting and lovely to walk on barefoot in summer. Sun streams in to all of the rooms, giving the daytime a very nice freshness that is quiet and pleasing away from the touristy throngs that can overwhelm Florence in the summertime. Enough room for two to three couples, or parents with kids, friends, this apartment is large, and nicely laid out. The bathroom is very comfortable, with a fantastic shower that has lots of good water pressure, very important for my family with thick hair. The added 1/2 bath down the hall was a real bonus for obvious reasons, with more than one person living in the apartment.
Claudia thought of everything to make our arrival comfortable. She had just bought the most beautiful fruit, peaches, strawberries, tuscan melon, and coffee, milk, bottled water, etc.. It couldn't have been more wonderful. We didn't need to go out that evening at all if we didn't want to, but of course we did. The LOCATION IS AMAZING. Down a wonderful little street, with great restaurants and boutiques, The Four Season's hotel is just down the street about a block away. We walked to everything!! The Duomo is only an extremely pleasant 10 minute walk away, stopping to check things out along the way. The town center, Ufuzzi, Ponte Vecchio, etc., are all within an easy stroll. Delicious restaurants are just out your front door, and shops, shopping, and all you could want are within a 5 minute walk. WE CAN NOT WAIT TO RETURN.

A dream come true

  • 5 of 5
My husband and I and another couple just returned from a 10 day visit to Florence. We stayed in this property for the entire time. It was an absolute dream vacation.

The property was exactly as described in the listing. We were a little hesitant about renting an apartment overseas as we had never done that before. But Claudia was so thorough in all her emails to me about the place and the reviews were all wonderful, we felt comfortable booking the place.

We were unable to meet Claudia as her son was getting married in another state that week. But she called and emailed throughout the week to make sure we had everything we needed. Her housekeeper's daughter came to meet us at the property and showed us around. It was obvious that Claudia wanted to make sure our stay was as we dreamed it to be, and despite moving her son to a new place and getting ready for his wedding, she continued calling us every few days making sure we had everything we needed. She obviously cares for the people that stay in her apartment. The apartment is fully furnished with everything you could need (soap, shampoo, dishing liquid, laundry detergent, spices, etc). Claudia even has a bookcase with all sorts of travel books for the different parts of Italy as well as local restaurant information.

She arranged a cooking class for us during our stay with her friend Barbara. We figured Barbara was probably just a good cook. She was amazing. She took us shopping in the morning for the freshest ingredients and taught us how to make homemade spinach ravioli, chicken cacciatore and tiramisu. The food turned out delicious. It turns out that Barbara used to teach in a cooking school, and one of her students went on to win one of the cooking shows on TV (I can't remember which show). We were very impressed.

The apartment is located in a prime location just a few blocks away from the Duomo. It was wonderful walking five minutes and being at the Duomo and Bell Tower. There are also small grocery stores and restaurants right there. As we toured Florence, we realized what an ideal location the apartment was in.

We can't say enough about our stay in Italy - it was the perfect vacation!!

Great flat in Florence

  • 5 of 5
My wife, son, his girlfriend and I spent a week at Borgo Pinti over Christmas. Overall, it was excellent. The flat was gorgeous and tastefully decorated for Christmas as well as being furnished with all of the basics. Claudia was most helpful with suggestions for dinner ( use her recommendations - they are spot on). The only hiccup during our stay was that the heat went out on Christmas Day -- but a quick call to Claudia fixed that. Borgo Pinti is very well located to tour anything that you want in Florence by foot. It's a short walk to all of the museums, restaurants, etc.
We would all recommend this apartment to anyone wanting a great experience in Florence and hope to return for another trip.

Claudia and Borgo Pinti II - Highlight of two weeks in Italy!!!

  • 5 of 5
You could not ask for a more perfect experience on your Florence adventure. Claudia is an amazing hostess / owner who made us feel like family even before our arrival. All aspects of our dealings were the best - starting with the reservation process, the communication up to and throughout our stay and even after our departure. Claudia is the best!!

We were a group of six college friends who reunited after living our separate, adult lives for the last 40 years. Claudia's apartment accommodated us perfectly. It was spacious, elegant and incredibly comfortable. The kitchen was an ideal setting for us to reconvene every evening over great wine, delicious cheese, meats, fruits (that Claudia graciously provided) and breads; in fact, too perfect - we stayed up entirely too late every night catching up with what life has brought us over the years. If you're concerned about having only one shower, don't be. A powder room in addition to the primary bathroom was absolutely all that was needed for the six of us. Also, do not worry about climbing the stairs to the apartment; they're gentle, wide and easily handled.

I've used VRBO for a number of my vacation rentals, but I would rate Claudia's Pinti II as the best experience I've ever had, and I sincerely thank her for making this a fairy tale adventure in Florence!

Perfect location

  • 5 of 5
We stayed two weeks at "Pinti 2". A perfect location. Quiet, peaceful, spacious and comfortable. Claudia, the owner, met us on the day of our arrival and gave us a tour and explained the workings of the all of the appliances. The location was great for us. It is extremely quiet, on a narrow typical Florentine street. It is a perfect location near all major sites in Firenze. This was a great place to rest at the end of each day. We traveled to Milan and Venice by Train to spend the day and took day trips to Pisa and Cinque Terre. All highly recommended. The apartment is clean, spacious and very comfortable.
Claudia was the perfect hostess, even inviting us to her home for lunch. She and Arnaldo were so much fun to visit and she is a fantastic chef. Their Home is amazing!

This is highly recommended apartment to stay at in Firenze!!

Pinti 2 and a Wonderful Florence Experience

  • 5 of 5
We stayed a week in Florence as a major part of our 2 week vacation in Europe. My wife and I and another married couple (friends for 25 years) rented Pinti 2 for the week and it was a spacious, clean and totally functional apartment that became like home to us. We were greeted graciously by Claudia when we arrived and she provided us with a detailed tour of the apartment and showed us how everything worked. She also provided us with an initial supply of groceries (including a bottle of wine) and a lunch consisting of several delicious home made sandwiches (that we devoured as soon as she departed). We discussed our plans for the week, and Claudia suggested that we obtain a membership with Friends of the Ufizzi to gain priority access to a number of the museums and palaces that we wanted to visit, which we did, and this eliminated hours of standing in long lines that we otherwise would have faced. She also had restaurant suggestions, where we found the food and service to be excellent. We really appreciated her advice.

Our stay in Florence was great. There was almost too much great food, great wine and sightseeing to experience within 1 week, but we tried to do it anyway. Pinti 2 was a great place for our group to socialize and rest and we started each day with renewed energy. Everything that we saw and did in Florence was accessible by foot.

Claudia was warm, friendly and courteous before, during and after our stay. She made the entire experience comfortable and non-stressful. We highly recommend Pinti 2 as a great rental experience.
