Beach house on the ocean located directly on Humarock Beach in Scituate. Stunning views of the South River across the street. Three sided wrap around deck. Step off the back deck directly onto the beach. Across the street you have great river access. Try your luck fishing off the shore or river! Charter fishing is available in the harbor. Canoe and Kayak rentals on the river no more then a 15 minute drive away. This is a great place to get away from everything and relax at the ocean! First floor has a riverside bedroom with two twin beds, ocean side bedroom with a full bed and a full bathroom in between. Loft upstairs has ocean side bedroom with full bed and riverside bedroom with two full fold out futons. Living room also has two fold out full futons. New carpet throughout first floor in living room and bedrooms.

Heaven on Humarock

Family - 3 adults and 2 children arrived 7/28. We arrived at night, in the dark. Our first morning views were breathtaking - both ocean and riverside.
The house is exactly as described and pictured and very comfortable. The adults had the downstairs bedrooms whilst the children took over upstairs. We spent 2 weeks here and would loved to have stayed longer. Our rental car had SatNav which helped with locations. The house is ideally situated for exploring or just lazing on the beach. We visited Plymouth, Hyannis, Boston and Rhode Island and were minutes away from Hanover and Independence Malls for shopping. There are 1 or 2 restaurants within walking distance and many others are a few minutes away by car. We would not hesitate to use this accommodation again and would definately recommend it to all.

1st Time in Humarock

For the last 20 odd years I have been staying at Cedar Point (Scituate Harbour, near Lighthouse). This was a big change.

I thoroughly enjoyed it, as did my whole family, even my 84 y/o mother who was devouted to Cedar Point.

It was very quiet, something important to me. The water was tolerable, and so convienent right out the back door. If the waves were too big we walked across the street to the river.

The house does lack a bath tub so for those requiring one, you're warned. But the bathroom and kitchen are new and nice.

You are a bit isolated (which is a good thing unless you want nightlife). The area is a bit confusing to drive around unless you know the area. But GPS helps. I printed a map from Yahoo maps and was fine.

If you're a cyclist or a beach bum you will love it here!

Two Relaxing Weeks

My wife and I, both seniors, were attracted to this beach house by the photos and description on this website. It met our expectations and then some.

With its wraparound deck, the property provides beautiful views of ocean, beach and river (including remarkable sunrises and sunsets), your choice of shade or sun, and with always a breeze. The home was clean, tastefully decorated, and well equipped with new appliances. We appreciated the open plan . The owner was as near as the phone when we had questions.

We visited with family, ate at the nearby Bridgewaye and Sands' End and enjoyed the food at both restaurants.
This home is a great place for relaxation and we would return in a minute.
