Private studio in beautiful Chilmark with private beach on the Atlantic . Seasonal beach pass for Lucy Vincent or Squibnocket Beach also available. Private tennis courts, kayaks available for use at no additional charge. Light stained wood finish interior with skylights; bright and airy. Cable TV, telephone, computer with high speed internet service in studio. Kitchenette with full size refrigerator, oven with rotiserie and two burner cooktop. Smokeless broiler for inside and charcoal broiler outside. New cedar lined outside shower with hot and cold water for refreshing morning shower or after beach. (Inside shower in bathroom). Walk to beach or explore pristine wooded acreage with hiking trails. Short drive to scenic Menemsha with quaint fishing village and seafood restaurants. Best sunset on Martha's Vineyard. Don't miss the Menemsha Blues store with its focus on casual wear and voted the best Island Logo on the Vineyard. Please, no smoking . Accommodates two persons.

Location, location, location!

Quiet, comfortable, ideally situated studio apartment within walking distance of one of the finest, and least crowded, ocean beaches on the Vineyard. Convenient to the Vineyard's best farmers' market, in West Tisbury. Not far from the twice weekly, out of doors, Chilmark Flea Market. Between the Chilmark Store, home of the best pizza found up-island, and Alley's General Store, a Vineyard legend.

Cozy and private space for beach and relaxation

A perfect casual getaway...The living space, beach, and amenities (e.g., kayaks, grill, outdoor seating) were perfect for two. Note that the pictures do not do the studio's size or feel justice; there's plenty of room for two, and the wood, windows, and skylights are simply lovely. It was clean and private, and the owner and his family were remarkably warm, accessible, and helpful. A car is a plus (maybe a necessity?) given that the beach is across the road and Chilmark is a bit remote.

Great beach

Access to WONDERFUL private beach. Linens included - a big plus. Perfect for two. Only downside was that the bathroom was on a different floor than the rest of the studio.

What a vacation!

We had a lovely time staying here! This is the place to go if you want quiet, pristine beaches and if you like nature. We enjoyed lots of dawn and dusk kayaking in the "ponds" where we soaked in the most peaceful scenery. The studio itself is very cute, very comfortable bed and couches- and very clean. The kitchen is minimal (except for the large fridge) but using some creativity, we were able to cook all of our meals there (saving us a lot of money and allowing us not to get in the car all the time). It's a bit of a walk to get to the beach and our goal is to stay out of the car as much as possible, so we only drove to the beach on days we wanted lots of stuff (chairs, umbrella, etc). The beach itself has great waves and we saw loads of seals! The owners of the studio were friendly and accomodating but gave us lots of privacy. We recommend this property. Oh, and you can hear the surf from bed!

Picture perfect!

My husband and I were looking for a long needed getaway but still near enough to a quiet beach. We found it and then some. Beautiful white sandy private beach on the ocean with an adjacent pond which was great for kayaking. (Kayaks provided by owners at no extra charge). Also close to Lucy Vincent beach, the town beach with clay cliffs.
The studio was neat and clean with everything we needed.
Short drive to grocery stores and bakery.
Will be back next year.
