The Southern Tier of NY starts 30 miles to the west in Binghamton. The Finger Lakes Wine Country is 1 1/2 hours away. Cooperstown is 1 1/2 hours away. In the summer there are music festivals near by, small town theater/dinner theater, and lakeside dining 10 minutes away.
