We brought our family together in this perfect home for the 3 days surrounding our daughter's wedding at Crow Creek Mine in Girdwood on August 24th. The 5 bedrooms gave us plenty of space for sleeping and the large living and dining areas were great for our family meals and gatherings. The kitchen was well equipped, and included extras we didn't expect, like paper plates and cups. The home was very clean!
Thank you for giving our family a comfortable home base during this special time! We even saw a neighborhood moose grazing in the back yard!

Great location; we chose this house because we wanted to explore the sites in Girdwood and on the Kenai peninsula. The appearance and the amenities were accurately described. The owner was very helpful in recommending companies to use for fishing & rafting. This house had more starter supplies then any house we've rented via VRBO which was a BIG plus. Small issue, their cleaning person needs to vacuum thoroughly. We had a great time.
Our whole family (kids and grandkids) travelled to Alaska and stayed in this house for a week for our family reunion. It was a wonderful set up for us, plenty of room, nice and clean and comfortable and worked really well for our big group. Beautiful view of Mt Alyeska! Would highly recommend this house and the owners!
We stayed in Girdwood for our son's destination wedding. The house worked perfect for our stay and the views everyday were breathtaking. The windows in the Living-room brought in the outdoors and the surrounding mountains.
The amenities provided for all our needs and then some. We enjoyed the quality appliances and the fixtures. The granite counter tops in the kitchen and bathrooms added to the experience. Everything in the house met our needs perfectly.
We total enjoyed our time in Girdwood and all were sad to say good-bye. We total recommend this VRBO property.
This property was exactly as described and pictured: it had beautiful views of the mountains, had 5 bedrooms/3 baths and slept 10 people comfortably (one person used the futon in the loft). We were in Girdwood for a wedding as well as to fish (Homer and Seward) and do some sightseeing (glacier hikes, Alaska Railroad), and needed a place that would be functional for multiple family members/generations - this fit the bill perfectly. We priced some hotels in the area but soon discovered that it would cost more for each family to be stuck in their own room for the week. Renting this property made the week extremely enjoyable since we had a living room with wonderful views, a large and well-appointed kitchen, a grill on the deck, and even a washer and dryer. We were fortunate to enjoy several sunny days and found that by closing the shades in the living room and opening windows (and the door to the deck) for a cross breeze we could stay quite comfortable. The owner gave clear and simple instructions for gaining access well before our arrival and even provided information on local restaurants/activities. The house was immaculate when we arrived which was most welcome after a 6 hour flight and two trips to the airport to pick up other family members. I would rent this house again in a heartbeat.
We just stayed here this past week and it was an incredible experience. It was my parents anniversary and they decided to take our whole family (12 people) to Alaska. We were happy to see that there was so much to do in Girdwood.
The owners of the house were great. Some of us went on a fishing charter with the owner of the house who owns a fishing company/charter out of Seward (HIGHLY recommend!). They went above and beyond to take care of us. The house was spacious and fit all of us nicely. The only nit picky thing that we didn't care for was the dog hair all over. Luckily there was a vacuum cleaner which quickly took care of that. Other than that, there was plenty of clean towels, sheets and even food in the pantry that we were able to use.
We would all go back to this property in a heart beat! We had an amazing experience and were more than happy with everything about this house! :)
