Lake Lure Cabin

Cute little cabin, well appointed with a great little kitchen and deck off the front, beautiful mountain views. First visit to the lake area, not familiar with TVA lakes. In our opinion, very crowded, lots of boat activity, very little privacy. Houses/cabin stacked one on one, MC mansions being built during our visit with constant pounding by stone masons all day long. Had to leave daily and really unable to enjoy the setting as planned. We will not be returning to the area, but the cabin was ok. Shower is difficult to use with children, double bed not comfy, not a queen as expected. very sloping lot, very difficult to manage with any mobility issues or small children. Owner is great and accomodating. Next time will stay in Asheville.
Owner's Response: A couple of clarifications from the owner: Lake Lure is owned by the Town of Lake Lure not the TVA, and the master bed is indeed a queen. Most people find it extremely comfortable. It is important to me that guests at Max's Lakeside Cabin have an enjoyable, relaxing vacation, and I do my best to create a peaceful environment for couples, families and friends to enjoy the lake. Some things are just beyond my control.
