Down the street from the Villa at Saugerties, 5 minutes to Hits, 10 minutes to Woodstock, 15 minutes to Hunter, 10 minutes to Kingston, and 10 minutes to Catskill. Area offers, Tennis, Skiing, restaurants, concerts, horse shows, hiking, sailing, swimming, fishing, boating, golf, shopping and more. Everything in the house is new and of quality from the Italian leather sectional to the bedding. If you like comfort then The Fawn Road Guest House is for you. Your stay will be relaxing and the accommodations well thought out. Please let us know if you have any special needs or requests. We can arrange a private sail boat sunset or anytime sailing on the Hudson river for up to 6 guests. Consider a guided hike on the many trails in the Catskill mountains. Also available are kayak and mountain bike tours. There are many swimming holes close by for a day of fun in the sun or go tubing on the Esopus River. Just ask and we will do our best to offer arrangements or suggestions. Let us arrange a private Hudson River Sailing. If you like we can have a personal Chef come in and prepare a special meal, a series of meals or give a gourmet cooking lesson. Please ask for further details. Please inquire about bringing pets. You know your pet best, if you feel your pet may soil or harm items in the house it is best to leave them home. Well behaved pets welcomed add $75.00 to your balance.

Tanja and I just wanted to thank you and Suzanne for letting us stay in your beautiful place. It was very luxurious! I loved the large window in the room facing the yard where you can just chill in the rocking chair and enjoy the forest view. I sat out on the deck at night listening to the absolute silence and got lost in the stars. It's very hard to find a place where you can see so many stars. Thanks again, Rick and Tanja Sarett, Passaic, NJ Hi Dennis! What a great little house that is!! We had a wonderful time -- and I think we had the best lodging of all of our friends. It's cute, clean and super convenient. It's only 9 minutes to HITS, and that was Much Appreciated at the 6 AM feeding time. (And, our three-month old colt is named Degas, so the poster was a welcome sight.) Thank you so much for allowing us to use your beautiful little place! We'd like to reserve it for next year, too. Ski: Hunter mountain is a 10 minute drive, Windham is 20 minutes, Cortina is 10 mins, and Bellaire is 25 minutes.

Golf: The guest cottage is 5 minutes from the Kaatsban Golf course 18 holes, 5 mins to the Palanville 9 hole mountain view course and 10 mins to the Woodstock Country Club 9 hole course. We are also 5 mins from the world famous Total Tennis Center.

Other Activities: Swimming in spring feed water.

We came with two kids in mid-winter, the three bedroom cozy layout was perfect. Liked the double-TV setup, though it was strange that each TV had different accessible channels. One other small issue was that it was always cold, but if you close the bedroom doors, the bedrooms get hot! On the other hand, this didn't really bother us too much, we played with it until we figured it out. The backyard is sloping with a fantastic mountain view so it was a great place for gentle sledding--though be warned that the slope ended in a huge ice puddle, that I assume gets to be very wet in spring. Front yard is fine for playing too, but not fenced off from the street. Nieghbors are very close. Appliances were immediately replaced when they didn't work and in general, the landlord was terrific about seeing to it that our needs were met for the entire ten days. Short drive to a plethora of skiing and great restaurants. If you have a car & kids this place is highly recommended!
Recommended for:  Families with Young Children, Sightseeing
Owner's Response: The house has excellent central heating brand new system. We never had a heat complaint from this guest or any other. All appliances in the house are brand new. The house is in the Blue Mountain residential area, on a country road. The owners have a house next door and put a tall fence between the properties. Renters have total privacy on a 1/2 acre, the house faces the woods across the street.

This home rental was very clean and well-maintained. It was conveniently located near town and skiing locations. The owner was very friendly and helpful. This rental is highly recommended.

My wife and I had a very nice stay at Dennis and Suzanne's cottage. The house was immaculate, modern and convenient to both Woodstock and Saugerties. The owners were as pleasant and responsive as I could expect.
