Lovely home!

We have been coming to Carolina Beach, Kure Beach and Oak Island for many years and have always stayed in hotels. This time we chose to stay in a home and that will be our plan in the future. The rental on this property was less than what we have paid in rooms and condominiums previously, with a great deal more room. The house was large enough for five adults, one child and an old chocolate lab. The layout was spacious, simply decorated with pleasing colors. The back yard was completely fenced with a back porch, patio and hammock and was very comfortable for long talks into the evening. The living area downstairs was spacious with an open floor plan for living room and dining room, a well stocked kitchen and full bath and a nice sized bedroom. Upstairs was an open bedroom that was truly huge and a bathroom with shower. Thirty-eighth street had quiet neighbors with little traffic and, although sewer construction was occurring on the main street through town, there was no noise at the house. The beach was an easy drive away. We enjoyed eating at Fishy Fishy in Southport and the Dry Street Pub and Pizza, about a ten minute drive from the house. Otherwise, we ate at the house. The full sized washer and dryer were used constantly. We enjoyed our stay very much and intend to rent this property again. It is available by the week or by the month. And the owners? Completely lovely people with whom to do business - very amiable, cordial, courteous, and informative. I would highly recommend this property for those looking for an open floor plan, quiet neighborhood and a relaxed atmosphere.
