The panoramic view from the large terrace is truly breathtaking. It looks out across the blue Mediterranean over the port of Beaulieu towards Cap Ferrat. During the day it is difficult to drag yourself away from the terrace - watching the comings and goings of boats of all shapes and sizes is fascinating. While at night the twinkling lights of the port and the distant Cap Ferrat make it an enchanting place to sit, relax and enjoy a wonderful supper. The comfortable apartment is tastefully decorated, fully equipped and sleeps four with both the living room and bedroom opening onto the terrace. Residence Gordon Bennett is situated part way up the mountain that sweeps down to the sea at the exclusive La Petite Afrique district of Beaulieu. It is an extremely tranquil and quiet area. The Beach and marina are just a short walk down some steps directly leading from the building. While the centre of Beaulieu is only a delightful 10 minute stroll away.

On the one side are Nice, Cannes, St. Tropez ,Provence and the mountain resorts of the lower Alps.On the other side glitters Monaco with its glamorous casinos, luxury hotels and gourmet restaurants.Italy is only a short train ride or car drive away and attracts with its colourful markets and delicious restaurants.

Additional information about rental rates

  • Please enquire about current rental rates. A surcharge may apply for the following periods: Christmas, Easter and the Monaco Grand Prix.
  • A 25 % deposit is required to confirm the reservation. The full amount is due 60 days before arrival as well as a security deposit of 300 Euros which will be reimbursed quickly at the end of the stay. All amounts will be refunded if reservation is cancelled and the property can be let again for the same period and same amount. Major credit cards welcome.
  • A final cleaning charge of 45 Euros for occupation of up to 2 people will be deducted from the security deposit together any breakages/damages. Arrival is after 4pm and departure is before 10 am on change-over day.

Walking and hiking: there are many walks in and around Beaulieu. The area around Beaulieu is immediately quite mountainous and there are many trails which can be explored or hikes to be done with guides, both in summer and winter season

Watersports: There are many brokers locally who offer boats (sailing or motor) for rent, daily and long term, with or without skipper. Several places offer watersports such a water-skiing, wake boarding, pedalos, kite surfing or fun trips for children on plastic floaters. The beaches of La Petite Afrique and La Baie des Bourmis both offer sun-bed rentals, full restaurant service, shower, changing rooms, waterski, wakeboading, windsurfing etc. The Beaches of Eze, Villefranche and St. Jean Cap Ferrat are only minutes drive away.

Museums: There are two local museums (Villa Ephrussi Rothschild and Vila Kerylos) and the area offers a large amount and variety of other cultural institutions, based on the rich cultural heritage of the area (Nice: Museum of Modern Art, Matisse Museum, Chagall Museum; St. Paul de Vence: Fondation Maeght; Antibes: Picasso Museum; various Chapels with murals from Cocteau; many seasonal art exhibitions and festivals. etc etc

Ski: There are a number of good ski resort located close enough for a day trip. For example Isola 2000 and Auron in France or Limone in Italy. All can be reached by car - approx 1 1/2 hours drive or by public transport. There is also a large variety of accommodation in these resorts and it can be booked over the internet.

Golf: The golf clubs of Monaco, Opio, Mougins and Cannes all welcome visitors and are only a short drive away.

Excellent apartment and views. It's hard to tear yourself away from the terrace. It would have had a 5* review if it had air conditioning (a serious must for sleeping - although there are big ceiling fans, we had to open the patio doors and consequently were eaten by mosquitos so ensure you have the sprays and plugs etc).

Accurate description on the website. Quiet location. We found the 100 bus at the end of the road was always 'Complet' so just plan to walk into Beaulieu for either the Ligne D'Azur buses or the train. The garden path (lit at night) cuts a good 10 minutes of the road route but has steep steps up so it's a hot and exhausting climb.

Very prompt and efficient customer service at all times from all our enquiries and questions through to the refund of our security deposit. The Gardien was very friendly and helpful.

It's our sixth visit to the area and we love Beaulieu and Cap Ferrat. Plenty of walks and places to visit. We walked back to the apartment from Eze on the moyenne corniche and then dropped down on a mountain goat sentier - fabulous views. We had a lovely meal at Captain Cooks in St Jean (rumoured to be the inspiration for the film Casablanca 'Play it again Sam' because it used to have a pianist called Sam according to my guide book). African Queen was good but expensive.

All in all we loved the apartment and had a fabulous holiday. As mentioned by another reviewer, we would certainly stay again but will seriously have to consider looking for an apartment with air con next time even if the compromise is to lose that surreal view.

Innanzitutto ringrazio Mr.Wolfgang per la disponibilità e la professionalità dimostrata nel fornire tutte le informazioni necessarie.L'appartamento è sicuramente il più piacevole e più attrezzato di tutti gli appartamenti che ho utilizzato in 16 anni di vacanze in Costa Azzurra.Ti dà veramente la sensazione di essere a casa propria.La posizione poi è come direbbero i francesi "SUPER".Impagabile la vista sul porto e sul golfo che domina Cap Ferrat.L'estrema tranquillità che regna nel condominio,garantisce una vacanza di tutto riposo.Quindi sicuramente una esperienza da provare ma soprattutto da ripetere.

A Perfect week

Me and my wife rented this cute apartment 1st week in September this year. From the first contact to the last the owner provided a friendly and correct service, including refunding the deposit, without us even having to ask or think about that. The apartment is very cozy, and clean and well maintained, the Concierge couple, were / are very friendly, and always willing to give tips or information or help. The terrace was much larger than the impression you got from the pictures, and it turned out to be our living room !, the view is without doubt breathtaking, and you just want to stay on forever. As the weather was perfect, our activities turned out to be mainly on the beach. I would say the beach, by the Casino in Beaulieu (this is about 10 min. walk) from the apartment, is better than the one, just beneath the Apartment. The best beaches though (according to us) is on St,Jean Cap Ferrat, and our favorite is Paloma Beach , a must see, visit. The restaurants, down in the Beaulieu Harbor, was not to impressive, but we would suggest to visit the Restaurants’ on Cap Ferrat. Close by a attraction is the Old Village of Eze, a trip up to La Turbie, is worth a visit (some of you may recognize this little Village from the Movie "Ronin", and of course Monaco, and Nice, are always worth a visit. A tip is to take the train, and not have to worry about finding a parking place, the train to Monaco / Nice, takes less than 20 Min. At last we really recommend this apartment, for everyone, that enjoys the bit calmer side of life, stunning views, and a nice climate !

Ein Appartement mit grosser Terrasse und wunderschöner Aussicht auf Meer und Hafen. Die Räume sind etwas klein
jedoch sauber und man fühlt sich sehr wohl darin.
Kontakt zu Vermieter sehr gut und das Hauswart-Ehepaar ist sehr nett und hilfsbereit.
Diese Wohnung ist absolut empfehlenswert und gut gelegen.

Quiet and perfect

If you are looking for a very very quiet hidaway then this is it. It is small place with a small kitchen, but it works great for a couple. You wake up to the most perfect view and in a very nice area with no activity on a dead end road. A car makes things a little more easier but if you are a climber walker like us then the private stair/path is a great adventure. Again, the views are great, the place is clean and you will not want to leave. I suggest hitting the main market by the train station then hire a taxi to take you to you place. Beaulieu is a small quiet town that closes early. If you do not have a car and our like us and like to walk, the bus 100 will take you any where you need to go for 1 euro. You are given a gate key and the private stairs wind down the hill side. It takes about 10 minutes to get the bus stop.

This has been the best rental i have rented in a long time. They keep it very very clean and it has eveything you need. The on site managers take great pride in maintaining this place and it shows.

Thanks Wolfgang we had a memory of a life time.
