Centrally located just 20 minutes from the airport. Maalaea Harbor is just a 5 minute walk from the condo. At the harbor you will find the Maui Ocean Center Aquarium, numerous restaurants, shops and the debarkation point for snorkel, whale watching, and fishing expeditions. Historic Lahaina town and Kaanapali are just 30 minutes away.

This recently remodeled condo offers a spectacular view of the beautiful bay (75 feet away), the majestic 10,000 foot volcano Haleakala, and the evening lights of Kihei. Relax on the lanai to the soothing sound of the waves. During whale watching season (December-April) the great humpbacks use the bay for birthing and breeding and can be easily viewed from the lanai. Sugar Beach (a 5 minute walk from condo) is a 4 mile uninhabited stretch of beach that offers beach combing, swimming, snorkeling, fishing and surfing. The condo has a queen size bed in the master bedroom and a queen size sofa bed in the living room. The kitchen is equipped with Sub-Zero refrigerator with ice-maker, microwave, cooking utensils, and washer/dryer. There is free high speed internet and free long distance telephone. Linens are provided. The Maalaea Banyans complex has a large pool with Jacuzzi, gas BBQ grills and elevator.

Great location, easy to find your way around Maui!

This is an ideal location if you aren't looking for the "wow" factor of Lahaina or Wailea. The condo is clean, well appointed, and comfortable. Maalaea Bay is the perfect central location to explore the island! The complex is quiet, and the sound of the waves each night is very soothing. Maalaea is quite windy, but that is welcome to keep cool in the evening. Don't miss the Maui Ocean Center right up the road, and take a trip with The Pacific Whale Foundation. (AVOID the "concierge" services...you can do better on your own). Look for coupons, and use them! Only minor complaint we had was that the info about finding the keys was a bit unclear. We resolved this in about 15 minutes and otherwise had a wonderful time.

Oh!...check out all the stuff in the condo before you buy anything (coolers, etc). There is also a CD about the Road to Hana in the TV stand. Road to Hana is cool, but if you are up for a challenge, take the road up around the north end of West Maui from Kapalua around to Kahului. It is VERY VERY narrow (but paved) in sections, and you can actually see more of the coast from this road than you can from the Hana Hwy.

Have a great time!!...and thanks for a great week on Maui!
