Enjoy luxury in a woodsy setting. As part of the Mountain Lakes Recreational Community, renters will have access to private beaches on two lakes, an in-ground pool, playground, basketball court, tennis courts, and baseball field. The house features tastefully decorated bedrooms, a living room comfortably outfitted with a leather living room set and an LCD TV with cable. The family room has a 42 in. plasma TV with surround sound, a large microfiber sectional, and ping pong and air hockey tables. The house also features unlimited long distance calling, unlimited wireless access, washer/dryer, dishwasher, and a large deck with patio furniture and a gas grill. The house is large enough for two families to share. We are currently renting to families only--no adult groups. Non-smokers only. Any smoking will result in renters forfeiting their security deposit.

The perfect fall getaway--enjoy breath-taking foliage from the comfortable back deck. The surrounding region includes numerous hiking trails, lakes, rivers, ponds, waterfalls, streams, and mountains. Close to Kancamagus Highway, golfing, and apple picking. Nearby tourist attractions include Lost River Gorge, Clarke's Trading Post, Loon and Cannon Mountains and Whale's Tale Water Park. Snowmobile trails abound. The Mountain Lakes Recreational Center has lifeguards on duty at the beach and planned activities for both children and adults. Covered bridges, restaurants, and shopping are all nearby.

What a wonderful place to stay!!!

This was our very first vacation home rental, so I was extremely excited to start our vacation. This cabin was WONDERFUL!! When we first walked in, I immediately felt at home. It is quite spacious, with a large living room and nicely sized kitchen and eating area on the first floor. My husband and I stayed in the first floor bedroom, which was a good size and had a comfy bed. Our two girls (ages 2 and 4) slept in the finished basement; I cannot say enough about the basement of this cabin. It not only has 2 sets of bunk beds on one side (the bottom bunks are full size beds, and the top bunks are twin sized), but it also has a huge living area with a sectional sofa, ping pong table, and air hockey table that provided a ton of entertainment for my girls. The games and movies there were great, too, and we watched a bunch of On Demand shows on Nick, Jr. The top floor had beautiful bedrooms as well; my in laws and nephew came for the first few days of the trip, and my parents and aunt came for the last few days of the trip; during those times, they all slept comfortably, and we never felt as if we were in each others' way.

Other aspects we truly enjoyed were the peace and quiet of the roads the cabin is located on. I was able to run almost every morning on the soft gravel/dirt roads, followed by a lazy breakfast on the deck, overlooking the mountains, before everyone woke up. The only time the area was not quiet was at 10:30pm the first night of our stay; the next door neighbors set off extremely loud fireworks that woke us up (thankfully, the girls could not hear them from the basement). Otherwise, we felt like we had the whole outdoors to ourselves.

Our whole family loved swimming at the lake nearby, The folks who live here were so welcoming to us; my girls played with kids their age while I chatted with locals who gave us tips about fishing and eating out.

I think one of the best aspects of this cabin is the fact that its owners really care about their guests' experience. Not only do they follow up to make sure you are comfortable, but they are sure to supply those little things (condiments in the fridge, thick plush towels in the bathrooms, games in the basement for kids from 0-99, etc). I would highly recommend this cabin to anyone with a family who wishes to have a peaceful vacation that is still close by to White Mountains attractions. We truly loved it!!

Best Kept Secret in the White Mountains

Dear Scott,

I, as well as my son Gibeon, have elected to write a review on your cabin. As you know, I live in the white mountains, and preparing a place for guests to stay for our sons wedding ceromony was to say the least a challenge.

We rented your cabin after taking a virtual tour and making the arrangements with Gibeon and his friends long distance.

My wife and I went out to the cabin to set things up and make sure that the wedding guests had everything they needed prior to them arriving, only to find, that your cabin has anything and everything that anyone could ever want or need while on vacation.

We had guests come from all over the country, some from Colorado, as you know, where some of the greatest views in the world are at, and others that have been stationed all around the world, only to hear them comment on waking up to a cup off coffee in the morning, and stepping out onto the back deck and seeing the view that it held was second to none.

Each Guest commented on the cabin, the ammentities, the room, the cleanliness, the privacy, and the view. For the cost of the cabin for one week, we/they received way more than they had expected. It was more than just a place to"stay".

It was without a doubt a huge success and we were all pleasantly surprised with what the cabin had to offer our son, new daughter in law, and the wedding guests.

Gibeon, as well as some of the wedding guests even commented on coming back in the future with some of their family, and hopefully staying in the cabin some time in the future.

Your cabin is without a doubt one of the best kept secrets in the White Mountains of New Hampshire. Thanks for helping make the wedding a huge success for us and our family.

Most Amazing Place

We had the best time staying at Wildcat Cabin. Our whole experience from start to finish was A++++++. Upon arriving at the cabin, we decided we wanted to live there all the time. It is an amazing place to stay, and everything we needed was right there and then some. Our kids had a blast using the ping pong and air hockey tables. The house was immaculate, and had plenty of room for our entire family. We would definitely stay there again, and again, and again. It was our first vacation in 10 years, and we couldn't have picked a nicer house or nicer people to rent from. Thanks Again! The Shepards

Family gathering

Our family hasn't been all together for about ten years, so this seem to be the perfect cabin for us, as it could fit everyone comfortably. We were very please with all the amenities this cabin had to offer. Everything was just as it was pictured on the posting,(which is great as you never know when you rent online). The cabin was extremely clean and also very kid-friendly. There were bubbles on the front porch for the kids to use which they were thrilled with. We had many ping-pong and air-hockey tournaments in the evenings, when we were able to kick the kids out. All in all it was a wonderful place to rent and we hope to rent again next year after checking everyone's schedule! Another plus was the owner Scott was wonderful to deal with and answered any questions we had. Again wouldn't hesitate to rent. Susan Noble

Amazing

The wildcat cabin was amazing. As seen in other reviews it is more beautiful in person. Place is very clean and they do provide items that are much needed. They have everything possible. We were also able to locate a Walmart very close by in case of any emergency items. The owner was available anytime. He was very nice and assisted us with any activities that were available in the area. He was great. My family and I were extremely satisfied. We are already planning our next trip there.
