Lake Whitney Vacation Rental house

This is a great place to get away from the rat race. Rio Casa allows you to wakeboard, boat, fish, hike, and relax in a great, well maintained house. There is plenty of room to spread out, great porch, back patio with grill, and brand new appliances. The river is perfect for long rides on a board, and the scenery is fantastic. There is a rugged trail directly behind the house that leads up to a bluff that provides awesome views of the area. There are also local attractions close by like Dinosaur State Park and a Wildlife Park for quick day trips. Lake Whitney is a great place to fish for big striper or just relax on the water. The owners obviously make an effort to keep the house as liveable as possible for themselves or guests. My boys, 9 and 7, love this place, and can't wait to go back. It is an easy drive close to the DFW area, and I would definitely recomend Rio Casa to anyone.

Our stay at Rio Casa was great. We loved the house. It was clean and comfortable.There were six adults and we had plenty of room.We loved the fact that you could go hiking behind the house and it was close to the water.
The only thing I can think of that would make staying at Rio Casa better would be some blinds or curtains on the windows downstairs. I did not like the fact that anyone going by could see into the house. Especially at night.
We were very pleased and would recommend Rio Casa to any of our friends and family.

We found this little hideaway and were thrilled to speak to the owner about our needs. The owner answered all our questions and made it very easy to reserve the cabin for our Spring Break family trip. My family is a little too big to stay in a hotel and a tent with 3 small children is just too crazy to imagine. This cabin was perfect for our family. Every Spring Break we like to get away from the city and explore, go fishing, have fun in the sun! This cabin gave us a really good jumping off point to do all that and more! When we arrived, the cabin was very clean. With plenty of beds and full kitchen and washer and dryer, we felt very comfortable and able to kick off our shoes and enjoy each other's company. We cooked on the grill and on the stove. There was even a TV with satellite service so that we could watch Blue's Clues or even Spongebob when everyone wanted to wind down a bit waiting for dinner. We enjoyed the Brazos and Lake Whitney very much, and if we didn't want to cook we could drive down 174 and have a variety of restaurants to choose from. If you like experiencing the fun of the outdoors without roughing it, this is the place for you!
