You have a beautiful home! We had a lot of fun and will see if your house is available the next time we visit Sedona!
This place was perfect in every way. It was a treat from the moment we first arrived and saw Castle Rock from the front door. What a thrill to see it so close! Staying there, we felt quite at home -- only better. We were impressed how spacious, homey, well-laid out, nicely appointed, and clean it was. We had a fabulous stay in such a pleasant and comfortable house. It was a wonderful base from which to come and go to beautiful hikes and sightseeing jaunts. And we had such enjoyable times relaxing on the back patio--wine and cheese in the afternoon, and laying in the loungers, watching the shooting stars and Milky Way pass overhead. We came here to watch the winter sky for my birthday, and it did not disappoint. Wonderful observation deck. We look forward to coming back and staying here again. We would not hesitate to recommend this place to our family and friends.
My sister, brother-in-law, husband and I selected this property for a getaway week. We greatly needed the relaxation and peace. We couldn't have made a better choice. Where in Arizona do you get luscious green grass on one side of the home and Cathedral Rock and Castle Rock on the other side? We enjoyed golfing, the Hilton Spa just down the road and the local activities in Sedona including an awesome Jeep tour. When we were not partaking in the activities, we were grilling on the back lanai and relaxing while taking in the beauty of the scenery.
Ignore the comments on the décor. While it may not be the taste one would want for their own home, everything is in very good condition and very clean. Mark and Debi were great hosts and had the home in perfect shape for us.
We will rent this home again the next time we are in Sedona.
This house had everything we needed, plenty of space indoors and out. Very well kept property with immaculate house and garage. Beautiful scenery from the outdoor deck and front yard. We are hikers and mountain bikers and you can actually walk/ride to the trails right from the property.
We rented this home with another couple for a week. The home was spotlessly clean and maintained, the views were wonderful and the location was very quiet. However, the house did have some deficiencies. The décor is quite dated, there were shaggy peach scatter rugs everywhere, a tripping hazard and not very appealing to look at, they were dirty. The 52 inch TV is a rear projection with very poor picture quality, the sleep control mattress in the master bedroom is an air bed, the batteries in the remote were dead, therefore we could not deflate the mattress. Sleeping on it was like sleeping on an overfilled air mattress, you needed a step stool to climb into the bed and had to be very careful rolling over or you would roll right out! There are two full bathrooms in the house, however only one has a shower, a bit awkward with 4 people sharing. The wall and ceiling in the master bath had significant water damage and the room smelled musty. This could also have something to do with the carpet on the floor...in both bathrooms. There are two eating areas on the beautiful deck. One is an iron set that clearly needed cushions. We took a long time to locate these, looked in all the obvious places, to finally locate them in the master closet. The kitchen was fairly well stocked with dishes, however there were only 3 wine glasses and no serving dishes. Also lacking was dish washer detergent. There were only two packets of powder supplied, and no 'Jet Dry' in the dishwasher. We took dirty dishes out of the cupboard, so obviously the previous guests had had an issue also. We had to make sure we rinsed everything thoroughly before loading it in the dishwasher. The washer and dryer are new, however, there was no laundry soap. Having some available would have been a great gesture, as people don't usually travel with laundry soap, and having to buy a large bottle for a week wasn't appealing. Also an issue was only a part roll of toilet paper and part box of Kleenex provided in the master bathroom. A search of the house didn't reveal any additional provisions. Again, to leave extra would be a good gesture, even the cheapest motels provide at least one extra roll and box! Kind of picky, but with such a nice place, why chintz out on these items? It could be an absolutely spectacular rental....
The home is nicely decorated and in a beautiful location. Close to scenic hiking trails and shopping. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this lovely home in Sedona.
We stayed at 65 Fairway Oaks with another couple for 4 days in Oct 2011. The home is immaculately clean with a well-equipped kitchen and very comfortable, nicely furnished living/family rooms. There is nice dining room and outdoor space with tables. The 2 bedrooms were good-sized, clean and comfortable. You should be aware that the master bedroom does not have a shower, although it does have a large jetted tub. That was the only drawback we noticed.
The location is great, right on the golf course in a lovely, quiet neighborhood, yet with easy access to the activities in Sedona and beautiful views of the red rocks. We ate breakfast every day at the Red Rock Cafe, which was excellent and friendly, and just minutes away.
All in all, we would highly recommend this rental.
