Simply the best the Adirondacks has to offer

We returned a few weeks ago from a wonderful stay in this great camp. The house is beautiful, serene, light-filled---so pleasant to come back to after a day of sightseeing/hiking/canoeing. The views directly from the house (and from various outbuildings) are stunning. We also appreciated the warm furnishings and decor, and the thoughtful provisions. The location of this property is the best of any we've had in the Adirondacks through the years---pristine, tranquil, restorative. It's amazing to find this amount of privacy and well-preserved wilderness so close to one of the nicest villages in the Adirondacks: the hamlet of Long Lake. We can recommend the restaurant down the road (The Cellar), although it will be more tempting to stay home, cook up something in that wonderful, well-equipped kitchen, and eat in the tasteful dining room or better yet, on the porch overlooking the lake, while listening to the loons. The owners keep everything in impeccable shape and are helpful and gracious. We thank them for sharing this property with us and would love to return next year. (Any other vacation rental will pale in comparison...)
