Villa Novo Puerto is a well-maintained detached villa located in a residential close, and within a few hundred metres of the delightful safe, sandy beach at Cala Mendia. A good selection of shops, bars and restaurants, also a bank and several ATM machine, are all conveniently situated close to the villa and it is possible to spend a holiday here without the use of a hire car, if required. The villa is equipped with air conditioning/heating in both bedrooms, and clients should be aware that a the use of this facility is included in the weekly rental.The large comfortable lounge, with two new sofas, also has electric heating. The old town of Porto Cristo, with its sandy beach and large marina and the famous caves of Drach are about ten minutes drive away. Also available is a two bedroom villa with private pool (Casa Bonito.) close to Cala Anguila, and about fifteen minutes walk from Villa Novo Puerto.

The small urbanisation at Cala Mendia is four kilometres away from the old town of Porto Cristo, with its wide range of amenities, a fascinating marina, and a delightful safe sandy beach. Cala Mendia benefits from a selection of shops, bars and restaurants, together with other facilities including a bank. This delightful resort is made up mainly of holiday and residential villas and small low rise developments of holiday apartments. There is a large up-market apart-hotel, also low-rise, which offers the use of a vast range of facilities, including bars and restaurants. Evening entertainment is also a feature of the hotel, which is a pleasant experience if you wish to while away an evening. The beach at Cala Mendia is safe and sandy with flag warning and first aid facilities operating. The popular beach bar supplies a variety of meals, drinks, coffee etc. and served by the friendly owners and staff. Sun loungers and umbrellas are also available on the beach

The Porto Cristo area is a pleasant and relatively unspoiled part of Mallorca - more like the real Spain - and a million miles away from the busy 'package tour' resorts around the Palma area.
