You are well situated for daily excursions to the South Shore, Lahaina, the road to Hana or Upcountry. We enjoy the convenience of a mini-market downstairs in the adjacent condo, an award winning seafood restaurant nearby in the other direction and a five minute walk over to Harbor Village for more restaurants and snack food venues. We get delicious and affordable meals at the Maalaea Grill, bring home take-out from Mexican Fiesta, try blended smoothies at the juice bar and enjoy the harbor scene during a meal at the new bar and grill, harbor-side - and that's not all our choices for food!
Besides the shops with a variety of clothing, souvenirs and sundries (including a branch of Maui Dive Shop where you can rent snorkel equipment), the nearby Harbor Village is home to The Ocean Center, a world class aquarium. And a couple of blocks away, you also have a miniature golf course and the convenience of a gas station. At the end of the short street on which the condo is located, you'll find a beach park that is the beginning of three miles of beach reserve, where we enjoy sunrise strolls, beach combing, bird watching and playing in the gentle surf. If you want to save your gas expenses and not trouble about parking, take the Maui Bus to many areas of the island from the Harbor Village bus stop just a few minutes walk away. It is just $1 for each long range route and free within the major town areas. There is a bus schedule brochure in the condo or google 'maui bus'.
Refurbished in January, 2008, we think you'll find our home-away-from-home relaxing and inviting. You'll want to spend the day there on the lanai, enjoying the birds in the monkey pod and palm trees just a few feet away, or watch boats quietly sailing in or out or the small harbor. Or the pool with entice you with its view right off to the beautiful tropical ocean.
If you want to connect with the outer world you can use our secure wireless Internet connection with your laptop. Or make free long distance phone calls to anywhere in the United States (including the other Hawaiian islands) or Canada.
And when you are ready to venture out, you'll see this is a great place to call home-base on your vacation in Paradise.
