On the coast, 11 Miles to the Alabama/Florida border - water EVERYWHERE including the Gulf across the street, 8-mile long lagoon behind the unit (views from bedrooms and front door), state park with multiple lake system a few miles down, intracoastal waterway, etc. Drop down due south from 20 miles east of Mobile, AL off of I-10.Exit 44/ Hwy 59 takes you all the way to the Gulf, then we are 2.5 miles to west of Hwy. 59 on the water (2.5 miles from the 'T').

Beach Details: Bring your own beach chair, beach towel, umbrella, cooler, and plenty of sunscreen! The surf is usually gentle in the morning and kicks up a bit in the afternoons, perfect for some boogie boarding, skimming, or body surfing. We provide a beach cart in the hallway closet to roll your things down to the beach. Load up your things and roll it on down! From our balcony, you can see pods of dolphins in the early mornings. The sand is perfect for sand castles complete with moats! Bring a flashlight and hunt for sand crabs after dark! The pass just a few blocks west from the condo provides moving water for some active fishing and the shallows for some minnow-chasing, and hermit-crab-picking fun! The beach access (across the street and a 1/2 block to the left) has a boardwalk, port-a-potty, trashcans, and freshwater shower, etc.

Perfect getaway at the last minute!

Ever have that vacation come together JUST when you need it the most? You're at the cracking point, but you take yourself on a break just in time? That's what this weekend was for us, and Dana's condo was such a scrumptious setting. Absolutely everything was fantastic. Everyone we encountered was so nice, the weather was perfect, and we could feel the stress dropping away moment by moment. Pelicans swooped by as we sat on the balcony, enjoying the view. We watched a group set up for a wedding on the beach, which was fun! The Lagoon Pass was everything you described. Our daughter was enthralled. Egrets walked within 20 feet of us, seagulls left us alone (!), and there were shells all over the place to collect. We will be back, definitely. Thanks again for everything - the bottle of wine was appreciated!

This condo has it all

Formost, Dana is the most helpful owner. The views are spectacular. From the bedroom window you overlook the lagoon, (even though it looks as large as a bay) and you have full length glass over looking the gulf with a breath taking view. We are from nearby Pensacola, FL but we certainly hope to return again for a breath of heaven. :)

Amazing Condo!

We are a family of five, 2 grown ups, 5 & 7 year old and a 5 month old baby. Staying at Dana's condo had all the comforts of home along with great style. We spent most of our time on the beach, which is a VERY short walk across the little street. Using the new beach cart that was provided for us sure made it easy for our family. My kids enjoyed the bunk beds and we all slept great. It's SO quiet. We ate most of our meals on the balcony and loved all the flat screen TV's for when we needed down time. Dana made the entire process so easy. Check out wasn't a big deal either. Dana was very forgiving when I forgot to call the cleaning crew upon leaving. LOVED our stay and you will too!

Had a wonderful time at the beach

We all had a wonderful time staying at The Sanibel, the home was clean, lovely and we were quite happy! Dana provided excellent customer service and I would be pleased to stay at her property again. I am a super soft bed junkie, so the only thing that was slightly difficult for me was the king bed. The bed however is in excellent condition and very inviting, just a little firm for my liking. You will need a good beach cart when traveling to the beach and everything should be just wonderful for you!

Awesome Condo, Wonderful View

We had a great time and enjoyed the condo. It is beautiful with plenty of room and is decorated so nice. It was so comfortable. We loved the large deck and chairs, and because it was a little rainy, we did spend a lot of time out there just enjoying the sights and sound of the ocean. Would definitely rent it again. Thanks so much!

The best food -- Mikee's Oyster House. Loved the grilled shrimp. But then every where we ate was good!
