A stone’s throw from Uncle Tim's Bridge, only one block from Main Street you can walk down to the Town Harbor and Mayo Beach, which is only 1/3 mile away. Once upon a time this circa 1840's Antique was on Billingsgate Island and was floated to this location before the island disappeared forever into the bay. Sleeping 6, there are three bedrooms (one queen/one double/two twins), one and a half baths, living room, large kitchen, den and dining room, plus patio outside and a picnic table, outside shower, cable TV and internet, all to enjoy your summer vacation. Newly painted and original art accents this charming house.

Notes: House has many pieces of original art many by Robert, the owner of the house, who is an artist. It is also newly painted inside. There is a beautiful garden at the side of the house that will be watered and maintained. Many plants make the back pation an attractive place to relax and eat.

This is a lovely home, prettier than the pictures, well-organized, comfortable, and extremely clean. The garden is well-tended with pretty patio for sitting and dining and a lawn for those who like lawn lounging; bathrooms are new, kitchen decently equipped for cooking. Walk to beach, town, galleries and dining. Owners are gracious. Wonderful artwork and great book collection (art, literature, sociology, history - bring your own trashy paperbacks if you want any; also bring your own scrabble). Beds very comfortable. Front and back stairs to second floor are quite steep (older home) so not recommended for the infirm. Other than that caveat, we highly recommend this rental property.
