About Helen Deitriech-rentals

We are avid snowboarders and just love visiting Mt. Hood for that reason. We decided to let others enjoy our wonderful townhouse at 'DaGorge' during the times we are not there. It is so close to all the metro Portland activities and the many natural sites to see. It is one of our most favorite places to enjoy. We hope you do too!

Heading for the Sun??? If you are travelling in the SW FLorida area, we also have excellent home rentals on Ft. Myers Beach. Ask for info!!!

Helen Deitriech-rentals purchased this townhome in 2006
Why Helen Deitriech-rentals chose Portland

This townhouse is truly located in the Gateway to the Columbia Gorge. Just take a drive East on I-84 and see for yourself. We can hit Mt. Hood and Timberline easily from our location while still being part of Portland- One of Americas best places to live. Many of our guests enjoy the many golf courses and water activities during the summer. Come see and fall in love with it for yourself.

What makes this townhome unique

Besides all the fun you can have in the downtown Portland area for outstanding music, food, art and entertainment, we love the little town of Troutdale and its location next to the Sandy river. SO many bridges to see in the area and public transportation is at the end of the block. We are close to Hood River which is a little artsy town that has terrific kiteboarding and wonderful restaurants to day trip through. Lots of places to find/make your own adventure.

Troutdale, the Gateway to the Gorge, offers our visitors access to a variety of activities in the surrounding Portland Metropolitan area. Only a 15 minute drive from downtown Portland & the Portland airport (PDX) so close you can drop your bags and be out playing in no time at all. The City of Troutdale has over 20 city parks for recreation and diversion.

THE MOUNTAIN- Want to play on the mountain? The mountain calls to locals and visitors alike. If snow sports are more your style, nearby Mount Hood has all the answers. With four ski resorts and North America’s longest ski season (including 90 summer days), this 11,235-foot peak is a mecca for skiers, ice climbers, snowboarders and hikers.

Portland: Let’s start with one of the city’s main bragging points – its parks. The Portland area is home to an unrivaled number of open spaces (37,000 acres to be exact). Even in the heart of downtown, you’re sure to see more green than gray as you invariably stumble across grassy oases.

Portland Getaway

Submitted: December 17, 2008 Stayed: November 2008
I stayed with my family of 8 at the Dagorge Townhome and had a wonderful experience over Thanksgiving. The home was very comfortable. The kitchen was fully equipped making Thanksgiving dinner preparation a breeze. Would highly recommend this rental for anyone visiting the portland area. Thaddeus provides excellent customer service and there is a very short turnaround time for questions/concerns.

Great spot for outdoor activities

5 of 5
Submitted: January 4, 2013 Stayed: December 2012
We decided to stay at this property over Christmas for 2 reasons. First, it was located close to family in SE Portland, and second-it was on the way to Mt.Hood for skiing. We were very happy with the place, only a 3 minute walk to the shops and restaurants of downtown Troutdale, and a nicely stocked kitchen with all of the wine glasses and dishes that we needed for our evenings in. The living room has a nice cozy gas fireplace, and access to a cute deck out the back. Because the house has A/C and is set up for comfort in both winter and summer, I'm sure that we'll be back again!

Beautiful Townhouse - Great Location!

5 of 5
Submitted: November 26, 2012 Stayed: October 2012
We are a family of six adults who stayed at DaGorge Townhouse for a wedding at nearby McMenamin's at Edgefield. It was incredibly convenient - a little over a mile away. We flew into Portland (PDX) and the access to the home is very easy - as is access to other freeways to go into Portland or up the Gorge or to Mt. Hood. The home was spotless and attractive with plenty of living space and a very well-equipped kitchen. The owners were helpful with questions and we just wish we had been able to stay and enjoy their great home a little longer!

Family Reunion at DaGorge Townhouse

Submitted: April 16, 2012 Stayed: February 2012
We had a great time at DaGorge house! We had a mini family reunion with 4 of our 7 siblings getting together for fun and lots of pinochle. Attached is a picture of my sisters, Colleen from Tacoma and Dona from Kona, with the best hand of the weekend... 1500 trump, which automatically wins the game.

Thanks again for providing us the opportunity of having a lovely family weekend!
