This town home is new as of June 2007! It is on Peas Island (Folly Beach) and in a gated and secured community. The town home has sweeping views of the river with a boat slip included in the rental price (very close to intercoastal access/use at own risk). The condo has a clubhouse with a pool and fitness center as well as a lighted walking path with fountains which goes around the island and is great for walking or biking. Wildlife is abundant. Watch dolphin dance and catch blue crabs all day right from your decks! This place is very peaceful yet 10 minutes to the historic district of Charleston. The town home seats 8 at table, 3 at bar and 5 on outside deck, and has a grille for cooking whatever fish you can catch from the docks or from your boat. There is also a high tide boat landing on the property and the Folly Beach landing is just blocks away. This place is a fisherman and his family's paradise! Covered parking for three; lighted docks for fishing or crabbing.

Folly beach has it all...surf, the river, history a neat town with eclectic restaurants and shopping yet it is all just 10 minutes from the historic district of downtown Charleston! Folly is called the 'Edge of America.' Folks come to relax and unwind or to have an adventure filled vacation as either is possible here! Folly has a large pier and several parks as well as Pirate's Cove playground for children. The county park just five miles away also has a water park with wild slides and a free water park for smaller kids. There is also rock-climbing, kayaking and other outdoor activities. Deep water fishing is a passion on Folly and there are many guides for fishing, kayaking, shelling or for history lessons as Folly is rich with Civil War history and Pirate history! Folly is a scenic 30 minute drive to the golfer's paradise of Kiawah and Seabrook where championship golf courses await. There is also a municipal course 10 minutes away and on James Island.

  • This condo was built in June, 2007. It is painted with the Historic Charleston Color Selection. The master bedroom painted 'sweet grass' has a large balcony overlooking the river/docks as well as a jacuzzi tub, separate shower and oyster shell counter tops. The downstairs bedroom is painted 'Sullivan's Island Blue' and has a comfy queen bed and again, it's own shower & balcony. The upstairs bedroom painted in 'creek shrimp' has two double bed. It, too, has it's own bathroom & balcony.

Notes: This Deepwater town home is on Folly Beach, and just a short hop to the surf but the attraction here is the river. The town home is new, gated and exclusive! It has a scenic walkway around the island great for walking/biking. Fishing and crabbing right off the docks! The kitchen has upgraded stainless appliances and granite counter tops. The seating is a table for 6 and bar seating for 4. There is covered parking for three cars, a secure garage area with electric doors; lighted pier and lighted walkway surrounding the island. Lighted docks. This condo is a stone's throw from Crosby's seafood where the big shrimp boats dock. There is a landing on the property for use at high tide. At any tide you may put in at the Folly ramp then come to this deep water dock. Sorry, no inside smoking and no parties. Quiet neighborhood!

Deep water paradise! New June 2007: Folly Beach is home to great surfing, beach coming, restaurants and family fun. But this particular condo is fabulous for it's sweeping river views as well! It is deep water and the rental comes with a slip (use at your own risk). The property is gated, secure and has a walking path with fountains surrounding the island where dolphin are seen regularly and crabbing or fishing from the three lighted docks is welcome. There are two private balconies overlooking the river and all bedrooms have private balconies and TV's. It is great for fishing buddies to use or a family wanting a river and beach experience. This condo will be furnished and ready for occupancy June 8, 2007. It is located very close to Crosby's Seafood where the shrimp boats dock, so if you don't catch what you want, then they will sell it to you right from their boats. There is a high tide landing at the property or use the Folly Ramp for input and a short boat ride to the condo at all tides.

Historic Charleston: Folly is very close to the historic district of Charleston (10 minute drive) where one can learn much about history and eat fabulous Southern Cuisine. Folly is rich in civil war and pirate history, and there are many boating guides for fishing, kayaking, shelling and more.

Championship golfing: By boat, Folly is VERY close to Kiawah, Seabrook where there are many championship golf courses. It is a 30 minute oak draped drive to those locations. There is also a municipal course as well as many other courses in Charleston. For the family, the James Island County Park is a five minute drive and his has a wonderful water park with fabulous slides, rock climbing, canoeing. biking and many other family activities.

Great place to stay!

My family of six stayed in this townhome for 6 days and really enjoyed it. The location is great, 5 minute drive to the beach, 10 minutes to downtown. The townhome was spacious, clean, and had everything you could need. The owner is a delight to deal with, always answering all my questions without a complaint. We did not use the pool as it was August and the mosquitos were horrible so we weren't brave enough to stay outside that long. It was so convenient to drive to a local supermarket (3 within a couple minutes of driving) and stock up so we didn't have to eat out all the time. We would definitely rent this again if we're ever in the area and would recommend it to friends. Folly beach is a cute town with beautiful beaches and easy public access. My kids loved collecting sea shells and we enjoyed the views.

really nice condo

When we arrived at the condo we found it to be clean and exactly how it was described on the site. It was large and accomodated 6 adults very nicely. The bedrooms were large and each had their own bathroom which were large and clean. The balconies looked out over the inlet and we watched dolphins swim in the mornings. I would recommend this condo to anyone looking for a nice place to stay close to Folly Beach. Price was right too compared to alot of the rentals in that area!

Nice & Relaxing

My friends and I had a great time. The fishing was fantassic and the distance to the beach was not that far. the views were awesome. we went into CharIeston a couple nights to have dinner and bar hop. I would recommend people to stay there if you love to fish or have a boat, and/or want to relax on vacation!

Amazing Wild Dolphins outside of house!!!

I would definitely recommend this property - description is right, house was perfect for us, clean, tidy, homely, fantastic views, I have already recommended this to friends. You need a car - 20 mins to Charleston - an amazing city, 5 mins from Folly Beach, we were in the sea bodyboarding every day in April (without wetsuits). We hired kayaks within walking distance of the house, kept it on the boat slip and saw wild dolphins - my children will never forget the experience. They were catching crabs off the boat slip each evening, but we weren't brave enough to cook them!! We drove to Savannah one day which we enjoyed and is a lovely city in itself, but Charleston we all preferred, We went to Boone Plantation - think Middleton is probably the better option. You need to check out of the house by 10.00 am which wasn't a problem as we used the outdoor pool/fitness suite location (there is a shower/kitchen area also) until we were ready to leave. We are ex-pat Brits on a 3 year contract and would love to come back if we get another chance - highly recommend this place and location - enjoy your stay.
