A big renovation has taken this home into the 21st century with class. The only thing that hasn't changed is the world class view overlooking the ocean and Waimea Bay. Everything else is new. Flat screen cable TV, stereo, free Wi-Fi, and free long distance telephone to the USA. Open kitchen, granite counter tops, Sub Zero refrigerator, new dishwasher, stove, and porcelain floor tiles. New bathrooms: Japanese soak tub in master bath, new vanities, lights and floors. Bedrooms have sloped ceilings with recessed lights. Queen size bed in every bedroom. (3rd bedroom is a queen size futon) each with its own sliding glass door opening to a deck/lanai. Incredible views of the ocean on one side and lush garden views on the other. Just steps to white sand 3 Tables Beach, a 2 minute walk to world famous Waimea Bay and a 5 minute walk to Sharks Cove. Private, gated parking lot. There's an ocean view outdoor shower so you can rinse off the sand after your day at the beach.

We are located right on the ocean, in the middle of the world famous North Shore of Oahu, at Waimea Bay, 10 minutes north by car of the town of Haleiwa. Waimea Bay beach is a 3 minute walk away and Three Tables Beach is less than a 1 minute walk away. Sharks Cove, Foodland supermarket and Starbucks are a 3 minute walk away from the house. We are a 50 minute drive away from Honolulu international airport. The Neighborhood: The North Shore of Oahu is a relaxing alternative to the hustle and bustle of Waikiki, but close enough that you can enjoy the shopping and other activities Waikiki has to offer at your leisure. Haleiwa town, 10 minutes away, is a charming town with restaurants, art galleries, and shops to explore, in between your beach time. In winter, walking distance to some of the best surf spots in the world (Waimea Bay and Pipeline are walking distance) and in summer best diving and snorkeling on the north shore is right here.

Four Australian tourists (2 couples aged near 60) booked in to the road side cottage - it was great. But when we saw the ocean front cottage we were totally blown away. We upgraded to the ocean front after 4 days (when it was then vacant). We could not fault this amazing property - except for the waves crashing at night .... just kidding.
We will be back one day. Oh, just one point. The BBQ (grill might do with a bit of an update)

Great time and location

Wow what a great place.We stayed in the cottage behind the main house with 4 kids and 2 adults. It was great. We had breakfast and dinner on the Lani. Good time to talk about our day. Location was wonderful. You can easily walk to the store . The beach is right there and the snorkeling is beautiful. When the roads were busy we would just get out and walk.Surf shop close by had all that we needed ,very nice people.Can't wait to go back.

When Bad things Happen to Good People

To all prospective renters - I could not be more pleased and satisfied with the professionalism and integrity of Andy, and most especially BJ, the managing partners.

We recently rented this wonderful vacation home on Friday and paid the full amount. On Monday, with the downturn in the economy, we learned that gainful employment had slipped away as part of a layoff. Upon calling BJ to explain the situation and our fear of the unknown, I could not have imagined a more understanding and righteous professional on the other end of the phone. He treated me with respect and dignity when I needed it most. I expected him to tell me - tough, you just made a commitment (which we likely would have just paid and cried).

No, BJ was understanding and worked with us to return almost all of our money - to which we were especially thankful.

Do I advise others to work, stay, do business with BJ or Andy - heck yes. When we regain employment, and we will, we plan to celebrate by staying with our best new friends on the island of oahu.

We know darker days are ahead - but we are encouraged by the acts of kindness and friendship bestowed on us by these wonderful people.

Vacation in Paradise

We had 3 kids and 4 adults on our vacation. The kids are 13, 8, and 3. Our stay at the house was very nice. No A/C made for lovely nights hearing the ocean but, It also made for some VERY warm days! From around 3pm until the sun went down the house was stuffy and uncomfortable (more fans close to windows could help this. Ceiling fans were hard to operate and some flat out did not work. Remotes were dead and many lightbulbs were burned out.) The house is nicely decorated although furniture is a bit big for the master and makes it difficult to get around in the room. We had to squeeze between the bed and dresser to get into the bed on one side. Living room has one small couch for TV watching and they ask you not to move other furniture so family TV watching wasn't easy. Sprinklers ran several times a day making for a lot of grass sticking to feet and some mud in the parking area. (Rugs at inside doorways and a broom would help immensely for keeping floors cleaner.) Patio furniture is not comfortable at all and makes it difficult to enjoy being outside.
We were not in the house during the day due to the heat but nights were very comfortable and the sunsets were gorgeous. We LOVED the location... the beach is truly just steps away. The snorkeling was spectacular at the local beach and the beach was excellent for the kids too- we all had a blast! We walked to the store many times and it has everything you could possibly need and souvenirs too. The area also has a lovely walking path to get in some exercise that ran right along the beach. Very nice!
All in all the stay was great and we found the house to be suitable. With just some very minor tweaks it could be great!
