Alpenhaus provides a Ski In, Ski Out chalet at the Fernie Ski Resort. Year round sports are just off your deck. Skiing, snowboarding, snowshoeing and cross country skiing are some of the finest in Canada. Alpenhaus is the perfect year round setting for all sorts of activities, in the summer, entertaining, road and mountain biking, river rafting and hiking are a few of the many highlights. Alpenhaus provides a clean, quiet, and relaxing atmosphere for the perfect get away. The 3 bedrooms and great room can accommodate up to 8 guests. The master bedroom has a queen bed, complete en suite with jacuzzi tub, and deck overlooking the beautiful Elk valley and Morrissey Ridge Mountain. Feel cozy with our huge fireplace, hard wood flooring and rustic furniture. If you prefer to eat in, it's a pleasure as we are equipped with a full shaker style kitchen, with gas stove and huge fridge. See our personal web site for more information.

All bedrooms have fresh linens and full cozy duvets. The furniture is hand made from red pine and the flooring is carpet with tile in bathrooms. there is plenty of closet space and hangers.

Notes: We are situated right in the mountains with ski in/ski out access. Numerous outdoor trails are right out the back door for year round activities. Kitchen is full size with numerous cooking pots/pans, including fondue sets, slow cooker and table setting for 6. Extra seating for 3 at raised counter. Shaker Kitchen has full view over great room and deck, all hardwood flooring with tiled entrance. Ski or hike onto the back deck, and jump into the hot tub for a well deserved soak at the day's end of hiking, skiing, biking, shopping, exploring, floating on Elk River, jogging or just hanging out.

Summer activities on the hill: If you just want to sit back and relax, enjoy the scenery and comfortable amenities, you are in the right place. The huge back deck is designed for ease of entertainment with your own BBQ and hot tub. On the ski hill, lifts are open for hiking and biking. Mountain bikers can ride up the numerous trails on the hill, or mount your bike on the chair lift and just ride your bike down. Check the ski resort website for book summer time activities. The hiking on the mountain is some of the best in the world, there are numerous trails you can choose from to reach the ultimate mountain peak destination or design your own route to travel around the beautiful bowls. Too tired to cook at the end of the day, the ski resort has 3 restaurants for you to chose from.

Activities in and around Fernie: The Elk River offers a lot of fun for fly fishing, tubing (my favorite, floating down the river, a great pastime on a hot summer day) and exploring with friends, pets or just alone. For road bikers, the area in and around Fernie is very picturesque and as challenging as you wish. Downtown Fernie offers many services, from restaurants, Spas, massage therapy, shopping and coffee shops. The local cinemas, Art Station and local watering holes offers constant entertainment for your enjoyment.

Golfing: The Fernie Golf and Country Club is a great place to spend time catching up with friends, improving your golf game while enjoying the great Elk Valley summer weather and scenery. There are also golf courses around Fernie, in Jaffery, Sparwood, Kimberly and Cranbrook. If traveling out of Fernie, there is great swimming at the beautiful mountain lakes as well.

There is not enough that can be said about this fabulous accommodation and the magnificent area in which it is situated.

The owners have left no detail unattended and you will be hard pressed to find accommodation so well appointed anywhere else.

We were amazed to find an abundance of cooking utensils and linens stocked in this elegant, tastefully decorated condo.

The pristinely maintained hot tub situated on the deck surrounded by trees, gorgeous gardens and mountains, was the perfect end to a perfect day spent hiking fabulous trails and enjoying magnificent vistas in every direction.

We can't possibly say enough about this super accommodation and the fabulous owners who accommodated our every need. Look no further, this is it!
