Just steps from Kiawah's spectacular beach, this villa features not only wireless, but new furniture, original art and photographs, and, for history buffs, a selection of Civil War era books. Unlike many other villas, this rental offers Resort privileges, like access to the Night Heron and Turtle Cove Pools, golf and tennis discounts, and round the clock front desk support and an island shuttle. The villa, in Seascape, is within walking distance to the Straw Market for the fitness center, lunch or an ice cream. It is also close to the brand new Freshfields bike path and five to ten minutes closer to the amazing city of Charleston than other Kiawah locations. This romantic city, for those of you who have never been before, is one of the most picturesque in North America, with grand antebellum homes, secret gardens, cobbled streets, colorful shops and incredible lowcountry cafes and restaurants. With your rental comes our guide, with lists of favorite places to eat and sightsee.
We just arrived back from a late August stay at this adorable villa. When we arrived, it was very clean and comfortable, and just as the pictures showed. The kitchen was surprising well stocked for a small kitchen, and had absolutely everything we needed. I was there with my two small children, and the layout perfectly accommodated the three of us. It is nice that there is some separation of the bedroom from the living room with the pullout couch, where the two of them slept. The screen porch was also very nice, and the outdoor furniture was very comfortable.
The best part of it all, though, were the resort privileges! We all greatly enjoyed access to the water parks and swimming pools. It was really nice that there is both the West Beach pool/water park that was just a very short walk from the villa, or the Night Heron pool/water park that was just a short car or bike ride away. The beach was close by and lovely too, of course.
The owner is very nice to work with, and the people at the Kiawah Island Golf resort were very accommodating as well. We look forward to coming back and would definitely stay in this villa again.
Everything was as described and pictured in the VBRO website. The Resort amenities were a plus as we used the shuttle once and the Adult pool a couple of times.
Kiawah was very busy this week and hot so we stayed on the beach more and bikes less this trip. We did take a nice ride to Seabrook (where we spent our honeymoon many years ago). Security did let us in once we said we wanted to see our honeymoon villa.
Your Villa was very nice and the decor was great and pleasant to relax in during our "down" time.
We visited Charleston for dinner one night (Magnolia's) and had a great dinner.
We do a lot of cooking while we are here and so close to the fresh seafood and it was great again this year.
The villa is nice but with the W&D in the kitchen counter space was a little inconvenient when preparing gourmet meals and no garbage disposal was missed.
A great villa for people that really want to just relax and eat most meals out. You cannot beat the location to the beach and Freshfields as well as the water park for children.
Thanks so much for allowing us to use your villa this week.
I returned to Kiawah for the first time since 2002 and was amazed by how much the island has changed in that time! This condo is situated perfectly to take advantage of all the new amenities and is just a stone's throw from the beach. We rented bicycles and enjoyed making the ride over to Freshfield's Village to check out the restaurants and shops as well as taking our bikes frequently to the Night Heron pool. You also get access to the nearby fitness center (a quick walk or bike ride) which was clean and never crowded. Of course - the primary attraction for us was the beach (we aren't golfers but I'm sure those who are interested would find this to be a perfect condo for their golf vacation) and being right on West Beach was awesome. Morning walks and sunset bike rides were wonderful. And coming from Maine, the warmer water temperatures were certainly a treat!
The villa itself is perfect. A well appointed kitchen/living room area is equipped with everything we needed and we found the decor to be pleasant and (unlike many places we've vacationed) not outdated. You can tell the owners care about providing a pleasant atmosphere for their guests. We loved eating meals out on the screened in porch, which is very private and is a pleasant place to relax. The bedroom is also nicely furnished and has a large walk in closet. The bathroom is clean and well stocked with towels and toiletries, which makes packing easier. A storage closet downstairs is full of beach chairs. We had trouble getting one of the TVs to work (we're not very tech savvy) but we called the resort and they sent someone over right away to show us which remote we needed to use. Everyone there is so friendly!
I would definitely recommend this villa for a couple or small family (there is a pull out couch). You really can't beat the location and you'll feel right at home! Additionally, it's great being so close to Charleston. It's an easy drive into the city, where you can indulge in the fabulous restaurants and visit the historic many sites. For this reason I definitely recommend renting a car if you are flying in. We can't wait to go back!
I've been visiting Kiawah for nearly 20 years and this villa is absolutely one of my favorites. The pictures posted are absolutely accurate. The villa is furnished beautifully and incredibly clean. The location is fantastic, incredibly close to the beach and a short bike ride to the pools at Night Heron Park (the resort privileges really put this place over the top). I can't wait to go back!
Kiawah offers the best of many worlds: on Kiawah itself: golf, beach, tennis, biking, birding, kayaking, fishing, or, nearby: touring art or history museums, seeing antebellum plantation houses, wandering the romantic live-oak roads, shopping on King Street, drinking sweet tea or mojitos before dinner in Charleston, antiquing everywhere, visiting Beaufort or Savannah for a day trip... the list is endless.
