Very private cabin with 3/4 mile of private waterfront and 60 acres of nature on lake Winnisquam, NH and only 1 1/2 hours from Boston. On the grounds of historic Butternut Farm the cabin comes with a canoe, great views of the lake and mountains, excellent fishing, swimming, wildlife, fire pit, gas grill and all conveniences. Only minutes from shopping and restaurants it offers the experience of privacy and nature the way we remember it as kids. We like to say it is 'close to everything but far from anything'.

Nearest Airport: Manchester Boston at 40 Miles
Nearest Motorway: Interstate 93 exit 20 at 3 Miles
Car: necessary
We are within 15 minutes of every imaginable attraction from outlet shopping to theater, water park, drive-in movie, arcades etc. There are walking trails on our property and mountain hiking within 30/45 min. Canoeing/kayaking is popular in the cove where swimming too is great as there is no motorboat traffic. Also popular is wildlife and bird watching (we have an osprey nest, fox with pups, wild turkeys, otters, fisher cats, beavers etc.). If you like fishing we have bass, pickerel, white and yellow perch, horned pout, etc. And the fire pit is a favorite attraction.

Great Private Retreat

I stayed for a couple of days for a mini family reunion. As advertised, very private, yet close to everything! We enjoyed every minute stretching our legs exploring the nearby trails, canoeing and lots of swimming in our own private cove. It was special - we will be going back.

Weekend get-away

Rented this place last September and had a great time. Secluded enough to enjoy yourself but close to everything if you need to venture out. Views of the lake were amazing. Nice fire pit where you can sit around for hours into the night. Coming back again in a couple weeks and I can't wait. I highly recommend this if you are seeking out a nice quiet retreat where you can kick back and relax and have a wonderful time.
